Chapitre 12 - Voilà!

Seoul | 2018 

It's a blessed for Chaeyoung that her office space was on the 2nd floor, different from the staff's room. Chaeyoung didn't have to face Mina on her daily basis. It was tired her out to see Mina. She often feels exhausted when she saw her, and she didn't know why.

The team needs to finish the GAKU's communication strategy. Next week all the agency will do their pitch in front of IKEA BOD. As Creative Director she can't think clearly, her mind is full of unimportant things. She rejected so many ideas from her team, making her once again, the most jerk in the room.

"Director-nim, we only have 7 days ahead, we got to come up with something?"

"Really you said that to me, isn't it your job?" Chaeyoung half yell to Chaeryung.

"But you rejected every idea," Chaeryung said it quietly.

"Yes, and it's all because you gave me common ideas, so common it's stupid" Chaeyoung hit the table.

Chaeyoung the put down her glasses. She rubs her eyes.

"Go home, all of you"

All of them just starting to each other, Chaeyoung never asks them to go home.

"Go home, before I change my mind, and you guys better present ideas tomorrow, each one of you!"

All of them tidy up then belongings and leave the meeting room.

All alone, she feels so dizzy. 30 minutes later she decided to go home. Chaeyoung heads to the car park and drives home. She enters Mapo-dong to reach her home. She looks at the fruit store on the alley. She parks her car and going down to the store. She needs mandarin, she needs vitamin C. She passes the small alley 2 closed stores from the fruit store. She witnesses 2 men, big man, pushing down a little girl, she couldn't see the girl because the man is so big, Chaeyoung peak at it, to get a better look, she recognizes the jacket, she feels like she knows the jacket from somewhere. But then the man moves a bit, and she could see the women that the man been pressing.

It's Myoui Mina.

Her heart is beating so fast, the girl could be in danger. The thugs push her to the ground. Mina then falls to the ground. Chaeyoung follow her instinct, she put her mask on, and she looks at a brick and grab it and Chaeyoung run and jump to the big man, and hit the brick to his head. She then kicks the other man, grabs Mina's hand and runs away. It all happened too fast. The run like crazy and never stop, afraid to get caught they run towards a crowded place, they won't find them.

At some point Mina then stops to take a breath, they run for so long. Chaeyoung then opens the mask and head towards her. Mina catches her breath as well. They've been running too long. 

"YA! Move out from the neighborhood, they already know where you are, YOU CAN KEEP GETTING CAUGHT OVER AND OVER, FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY" For some reason, Chaeyoung didn't know why she's mad to her.

Mina gaze to her, "Who are you to tell me to do something! Mind your own business" Mina said it half yelling.

She then walks weakly pass Chaeyoung.

"YA! YA!" Chaeyoung calls for her, but she doesn't care and keep walking toward the crowd. Chaeyoung stops to take a deep breath.

Mina keeps walking, somehow she feels thankful towards Chaeyoung, because if she hadn't saved her, Mina would be beaten up, again. No one in her life did something like Chaeyoung did to her. She feels protected all of sudden. She knew it well it meant nothing to Chaeyoung, but for Mina, getting saved by someone was big. This is the second time. All her life, Mina needed to protect herself, she faces this world alone.
