Chapitre 38 - Renaître

Chaeyoung will start her day by taking Seojun to school. She never does that before. Chaeyoung wakes up early and makes her bed, she then takes a shower and makes breakfast. She makes a simple lunch box as well for Seojun.

"Chaeyoung? You make breakfast?" Chaeyoung's mom is amazed.

Chaeyoung could only smile, "For Seojun, Eomma. I woke up at 5 the past year, it becomes a habit"

"Well, good for you"

Chaeyoung then has done pack the lunch box, and ask her mom to sit with her.

"Come on, Eomma, eat. Is Seojun wake up yet? I should get him"

"He'll come in 5 minutes, don't worry. He's a very diligent kid, I never woke him up, he takes care of everything"

Her mother was right, Seojun then goes down 5 minutes later.

"Seojun-ah!" Chaeyoung then greets her kid.

"Oh, Eomma, Grandma, good morning"

"Come one, eat first, I already packed your lunch as well, I made a lot you can share it with your friends"

"Thanks, Eomma"

"From now on, your mother will drive you to school, okay?" Chaeyoung's mom says it to Seojun.

Seojun then eats his breakfast and soon after Chaeyoung takes him to school. It's her first time taking him to school. She never does that since Seojun's first day, it's always Chaeyoung's mom or dad. Then they arrive at his elementary school.

"Alright, take care Seojun-ah, make sure you eat the meal okay, don't stress out because no one pushes you, okay? If someone bullies you or.........."

"Eomma, I'll be fine"

"Yes yes, I know, of course"

"Okay, bye Eomma" Seojun then get out from the car, Chaeyoung still looking at him, he's then greeted by his friends. Chaeyoung feels sentimental as she dropped her boy to school. She almost tears up.

Chaeyoung then drives again, heading to Mapo area. She just misses the neighborhood. She circled around the area and stop by to buy some breakfast, she didn't even eat her own cook this morning. She drives again until she doesn't realize that she drives towards her apartment direction. Chaeyoung park her car in front of the building. She just sits there while looking outside. Nothing really changes.

She takes a deep breath.

It might be a bad idea, but she misses her place.

Chaeyoung braves herself to go out from her car and start walking to the building. She pushes the elevator button and goes up. The elevator open and she turns right, to the corner door, 5002, her apartment door.

She take a deep breath again.

She touch her passcode machine.

And it's open.

She's greeted by the dust, but the feeling is still the same.

She enters her apartment and looks around a bit. Chaeyoung asked her mother to cover her furniture with plastic before she went to prison. Her mother is asked to help the pay rent as well because she wants to keep them. All still feel familiar to her. She opens the sofa cover, then she sits there. Sit there and starring to her surrounding.

The sun is still come from her big window. It was always beautiful enjoying a sunrise from her house facing the Han river, 

She opens the guest room, it was Mina's room. Chaeyoung just open a bit, and she closes it again, she can't.
