Chapitre 19 - Disparu

Seoul | 2018

"Seojun-ah, are you hungry?" Mina then quietly asks the 10 years old boy and he nod.

Mina always love kids, she once worked part-time as a nanny, she dealt with kids too many times. 

"Okay, what do you want? tteokbokki call?"

Seojun nods. It's written all over his face that she feels awkward with her mom.

Chaeyoung is still sitting in the living room, staring at the blank space. She then goes to her room.

"You're becoming unreasonable, Chaeyoung-ah. She only a kid, why you hated him so much?" Eunho interfere at her

"I don't hate him, don't make an assumption"

"But you won't face him? Like for the past 6 years, how many times you met with him? You're his mother!"

"So are you, but you left!"

"Why are you always stubborn, can't you see that I died because of him, I want him to have the life I don't, at least she has a parent, Chaeyoung-ah!"

Chaeyoung try not to listen as she changes her clothes.

"I am not having this conversation with you, Eunho"

Chaeyoung then slams her bedroom door.

"Seojun-ah, grab your backpack, come with me to Eomma's office, okay?"

Chaeyoung then fills her backpack with books her parents bring. Mina who just cook the tteokbokki shocked at the sudden movement. 

Mina also changes her clothes, packs the tteokbokki for Sejun and go to the office.

Chaeyoung then put Seojun at her office room.

"Seojun-ah, stay here okay? Eomma will have the meeting for a while"

Seojun only nods to her. Seojun then grabs the backpack and open it, she grabs his favorite book. According to Chaeyoung parents, Seojun is a quiet boy, he didn't talk much, he didn't interact much, but he's a diligent student, like her moms. He's so smart. His hobby is reading. With that, Chaeyoung believes that he will stay put in her room during the meeting.

As soon as Mina arrives at the office, Mina goes to Chaeyoung's room to give Seojun tteokbokki she promised and she leaves him. 

Chaeyoung and the team starts meeting at 2 pm. They had a global conference call that's why they need to work on the weekend. The company will give updates, work in progress to the HQ. Chaeyoung leads the creative team to give updates.

Little they know, it's already 6 pm. Almost 7. Chaeyoung forgets that Seojun hasn't eaten anything. She rushes to her room.

It's empty.

"Seojun-ah" Chaeyoung then find him at her room. He's nowhere to be seen.

She starts to panic. She looks all over her floor, at every room, calling his name.

She then goes downstairs and looks at every room, all of her employees are gathered at the common area

"Did you see a 10-year-old little boy coming here?"

"Chaeyoung-ah, are you drunk?" Mingyu laugh at her.

Chaeyoung then looks at Mina, "Seojun, he's gone" Mina then stand up.

"Who's Seojun, Chaeyoung-ah?" Tzuyu then ask.

"My son" Chaeyoung look at Tzuyu worriedly. 

"I'll look for him, she must be near" Mina then run outside and look for Seojun. Chaeyoung then gives his picture portrait to the team, all of them are spread out, there are also one who stays inside incase Seojun back here.
