Chapitre 45 - Soulager

Chaeyoung sleep facing the other way. 

It's 5 am in the morning. 

Mina then slowly get out from the blanket.

Slowly. 

Mina picks up her clothes and wears them. Makes the minimal sound as possible. 

She then opens her bedroom door, again so slowly. Mina succeeds, Mr. and Mrs. Kim is still asleep she assumes. 

She grabs her bag and her jacket.

Once again she looks at Chaeyoung's bedroom door, places her hand to the door and just stares at it. She takes a deep breath and wipes her tears.

She needs to go.

She takes the elevator down. 

Chaeyoung, still in the same position, open her eyes slowly after hearing the click sound.

She takes a big gulp and wipes her tears.

She knows that Mina's gone by now.

She could just run to her, ask her to stay, stall her. 

But she let her go.

She's so sad but somehow she's also happy for her.

At least for the past 2 days, she finally got some closure. 

Chaeyoung wakes up and ready to leave Busan, some of her minds is sad of course that she needs to part ways with Mina again, but a part of her feels relieved somehow. She's happy that she could clear things up and now it's Mina's time to deal with her own feel and guilt.

Whatever it is, Chaeyoung chooses to stay. 

All she needs to do is patiently waiting for her. 

She asked Tzuyu and Mingyu to have another day off, she needs a big sleep.

She arrives home, she just goes straight to her bedroom, she's sleeping with her smile on.

She wakes up somehow, she sleeps long enough. She checks the time, it's 8 pm. She slept for almost 9 hours. She wakes up to check on Seojun. 

When she's downstairs, all of them are now eating. Her parents, Seojun and Yugyeom.

"Ah, Chaeyoung-ah, you're awake!" Yugyeom then greets her.

"YA, what are you doing here in my house?"

"Your parents call me for dinner since my parents are in the U.S, we're neighbor remember?"

"Ah Eomma, he's a boss, don't give him free food"

Chaeyoung then joins them in the dining room.

"If you're still tired just ask Tzuyu and Mingyu to take another day off" Chaeyoung's dad suggest.

"I am okay Dad, I am just sleepy, beside the director of my client has been pestering my subordinates" Chaeyoung look at Yugyeom.

"Whoa, whoa, I am not, I am just asking things to them"

Chaeyoung's mom and dad laugh.

"When I look at you guys, can't help but think that you are still a high schooler to me. Yugyeom often came here. Sadly you guys didn't talk for almost 15 years. Time flies, one is director and professor, one is also a director and a mom. I am so happy that everything turns out great to the both of you, and you guys managed to sort things out. I am so proud of you both" 

Yugyeom smiles to Chaeyoung. They continue their fruitful dinner.

Chaeyoung then tucks Seojun to sleep, Yugyeom then follows her to her room.

"Whoa, Son Chaeng, been a long time since I was here, everything isn't really changing in your room!"

It's been years since Yugyeom enters her room.

"Oh my God, look at us, this is where we won Badminton mixed double at school right? Daebak"

Chaeyoung didn't really make a change in her bedroom. Everything is in the place since she left home after graduate high school. The place fills with her old memories.

Yugyeom then sits on her bed and put her head down to the bed.

"And this bed is still like this," He says it while looking at the ceiling.

Chaeyoung sits on the sofa.

"Why are you here, Katrina? I told you not to go home if you can't drag her here"

Chaeyoung smirks.

"Did Minseo banned you to meet her?" Yugeyom then sits on the edge of the bed.

Chaeyoung smiles and nod to him.

"Yaaaaaa, that little girl"

"I kinda understand tho, I know that she wanted to protect her sister"

"So you really didn't get a chance to meet her?"

Chaeyoung replies him with a smile. 

"Chaeyoung stop smiling, really"

"Yugyeom ah, when Minseo explained her situation, I kinda understand, she blamed herself everything, she's so disappointed with her mom, but at the same time, she loves her mom. She needs to deal with that feeling every day. She's fighting with it. I get it. Seeing me could be the worst idea ever, she can't help but blame her parents of Eunho's death. Funny thing is, I kinda understand her so much as I blamed myself, because yes I drove callously that day. I made Eunho died that night. It's a never-ending feeling that she should deal with herself first"

"Kat, you didn't............."

"I met her Gabe, we met" Chaeyoung cuts Yugyeom. 

"I can't explain it, really. It was all fate, she was there when I didn't even find her, she was..........just there. When I about to gave her up, we accidentally met. I was happy again for the first time in years"

Chaeyoung's voice starts to crack. 

"She said she loves me, Gabe. All she needs is time, she needs to heal. Even when she didn't tell me, I have no doubt, Gabe. I know that she loves me. I know that, but I should give her time. Time to heal, I know that she'll be back to me again, someday"

"Kat............"

"Trust me, I am okay. Gabe, how many times fate plays on us? But we managed it through. We are meant to be. I believe that, but now it's not the right time. I am just happy that I got updates from her about her current state. I feel relieved now, and I won't interrupt her again. I won't look for her as well. All she needs is time "

"Upon arriving there, I know, I 've prepared for everything, cause I've been in her position. It would be good if I could see her if I could grab her hands home, but I know that I can't be that selfish. She'll come to me, Gabe. I am Son Chaeyoung, I am wanted"

Yugyeom laughs at her last statement.

"Oh, by the way, I think you should see Minseo, In 2 years she changed into a damn fine woman. She's so elegant and beautiful, Yugyeom-ah. I know now why you fall for her"

"What are you talking about?"

"Yugyeom-ah, I know you since forever. I know that you bought a bus ticket for yourself. You might wanna burst seeing Minseo's name card, isn't it? But you are still chicken Yugyeom-ah, you sent me to check her out. Remember that you wanted me to deliver letters to Eunho, well because of your shyness, I got her, while you got nothing"

"YA YA YA!" Yugyeom is sulky.

Chaeyoung is laughing.

"I am kidding, I am kidding. But seriously Yugyeom-ah. If you do things right, you can certainly grab her hand. She once in love with you, maybe she still is, we don't know yet. And you look great together"

Yugyeom can only laugh and look at Chaeyoung "Thanks"

And with that Chaeyoung's life continues. At least she got the explanation and leave everything to destiny. 

Time will answer everything.
