Moons had passed since the beginning of the four Clans off the coast of the sea. LeafClan had grown large with new cats, and had seen many ceremonies both apprentice and warrior. As Owlflight stood on High Branch with her kits below her, ready to receive their warrior names, she felt a warm sense of home surround her.

"With the approval of StarClan I, Owlflight of LeafClan, give each of you your warrior names. From this moment until the opening of another path, you shall be known as Leafspin, Oakleaf, and Morningstream."

She pressed her nose to each of their heads, and the Clan cheered around them. The older she cat beckoned forth three kits, now six moons old, born to two new members of LeafClan— Dropleaf and Rosepetal.

"These kits have reached the age of six moons, and will now train as apprentices. Mintkit, Foxkit and Mudkit, from this moment until you receive your warrior names, you will be known as Mintpaw, Foxpaw and Mudpaw. Your mentor, Mintpaw, will be Cloudsnap. Foxpaw, Leafspin will be your mentor. Mudpaw, Morningstream will be your mentor. May they pass all their wisdom to you."

The warriors greeted their apprentices before Riversong, who had been training with Lakeheart and Icepool to be medicine cat, wove to the front of the crowd.

"StarClan has shown me their choice for our leader!" She spoke calmly, her eyes shining with joy. Woolheart, a young tom born to Cowheart and Wheatear, let out a cheery purr.

"We know who the leader is!" He joked, and Riversong tosses him a glance. Cowheart shushed him.

"Let her speak, this is a big moment for LeafClan!" She chided. Owlflight purred from beside Bearheart, having leapt down from the branch. The Clan quieted. Riversong gazes ip at the sky above them.

"StarClan showed me a star, shining brightly mid morning with leaves spinning around in its light. LeafClan will be lead by Morningstream." Morningstream quickly joined her sister.

"And, may StarClan approve my choice, LeafClan's first deputy will be Leafspin." The young leader said firmly. The Clan waited a moment after she finished speaking before erupting into cheers. Riversong wove around her sister.

"Come," she said kindly, "StarClan waits for us at the MoonTree." Morningstream gazes at her sister, green eyes meeting blue, and smiled.

"Lead the way," she grinned, "but only just this once." Riversong rolled her eyes and batted at her sister as the she cats left camp. Owlflight stared after them, pride and content filling her heart completely.

When Morningstream woke, she saw a vast field, stars shimmering clearly in the sky, lighting up the field as if it were sunshine. Riversong was behind her, but before Morningstream could ask what came next, the sky started to move.

Stars swirled above her, descending downward. The flurries of light burst into different shapes and forms. Gradually, the bright lights of the stars dimmed, revealing nine starry-pelted StarClan warriors, of all sizes and coat colors.

"Welcome to StarClan," they seemed to echo into her ears, their voices warm and soft. Morningstream dipped her head.

"I'm honored to stand before to ask to represent LeafClan," she responded humbly, and three cats stepped forward. A small, wiry brown she cat, a lean gray tom, and a soft-furred white she cat with brilliant green eyes. Morningstream gazes at them in awe, mesmerized by the stars that cling to their coats like burrs. The brown tabby gazed at her solemnly.

"My name is Windstar, and I was the first Clan leader to ever be named, and I am an ancestor of your mothers first Clan," she mewed finally. Morningstream felt her eyes widen.
