"Sexy Supergirl coming through!" Rose shouts jokingly from the table. She looks cozy in her pajamas—a tank top and polka dot pajama bottoms—and her hair is in a messy bun. She's got a deck of cards on the table, which she's playing with one of her friends.

"Dang. You could set a house on fire," Her friend Liz whistles from beside her.

I roll my eyes at them and shake my head to myself. "Shouldn't you children be out trick-or-treating?" I tease, which earns a pillow tossed at me.

"Wow, how in the world did Mallory convince you to wear that?" Rose asks, shaking her head and laughing. "I've never seen you wear anything like that in my life."

I look in the full-length mirror next to the front door.

I'm dressed as Supergirl. I've got an extremely fitted blue long sleeve with the classic "S" emblem on it, paired with the short red skirt and little red boots that accompany any Supergirl costume you might see. However, this one is much more revealing than the typical costume.

Mallory pushed for it. She said that even if this is the only year in my life that I ever do a "sexy" costume with her, she'll be satisfied with that. She really wanted to do a superhero theme and she needed someone to match with her Wonder Woman get-up.

But now that I'm wearing it, I am realizing how uncomfortable I feel, mostly because I have to keep pulling the skirt down or else I'll feel like one gust of wind later, I'll be flashing somebody. Not to mention, the neckline for the shirt is much lower than I thought it would be. I didn't actually try it on in the store or anything, since it was all in the package: I just bought it and hoped Mallory would stop asking me about it after that.

I throw my hands up. "Look, it isn't like I even want to go to this stupid party."

"Are you serious?" Rose exclaims. "You're going to a college party! There will probably be a bunch of really hot college guys! With degrees in like, neuroscience." She lets out a sigh, closing her eyes and grabbing onto her friend's arm. "Liz, imagine a really hot Australian guy."

Liz closes her eyes too. "Oh, I'm imagining it..." Her faces lights up, but she keeps her eyes closed. "And he's got heavy scruff...not unruly, but not bare-faced either."

"Strong arms..." Rose says.

"Sweet but intimidating..." Liz continues.

I snort. "Okay, you guys just described Liam Hemsworth." They both open their eyes, and I shake my head. "I highly doubt that Liam Hemsworth or anyone similar will be at that party tonight. Probably just a bunch of drunk undergraduates."

A few moments later, Mallory has barged through the door (knocking is a joke in this house).

It's not meant to be one of those ironic things, but red really is Mallory's color. Her fiery red spirals of hair compliment her sassy and bold attitude, which is often associated with the color red, which happens to be a color that accentuates everything about her. Tonight, she's all dressed up in her Wonder Woman costume.

"Good, you're ready!" Mallory exclaims, grabbing me by the hand, but then she stops and looks at me. "Wait, you look good. Did you wear that push-up bra that you bought?"

I roll my eyes. "No. I returned it while you stopped to get a pretzel at the mall. I hate push-up bras. They're not comfortable."

Her eyes widen and her face breaks out into a grin. "Wow, so those are just your natural boobs with a regular bra? Leo's a lucky guy."

I roll my eyes. "Leo's a gentleman. He doesn't care about stuff like that."

Mallory gives me an incredulous look. "Gentleman or not, he's a guy and he's in love with you. You'd have him drooling, forgetting how to talk, and worshipping the ground you walk on if he saw you right now."
