Chapter 14

Akira pulled me into a small hug. "I'm so sorry I wasn't here sooner" he appologized. I nodded and hugged him. "Why is it everytime I see that demon you come and make it go away?" I asked quietly. "Catherine are you sure your okay?" He asked. "I'm fine now" I whispered holding him tightly. I let him go and looked down. "So what are we gonna do?" I asked. "Hopping we could watch a movie together" he replied. "Really? Okay. Lets go" I said.

We got to the movie theater. "Drama? Romance? Or horror?" He asked. "I dont care" I replied. "Drama" he mubbled to himself. We got into the theater. We sat in the back. Me and Akira sitting right next to each other. "Look at young couples these days" I heard a women say in front of us. She pointed to me and Akira. My face got hot as I embarrassly covered my face. Akira tapped my shoulder. "You okay?" He whispered asking in my ear. "No. People keep calling us a couple" I whispered. "They are? Must think I'm ascuteasyou" he said mubbling the rest. I couldn't understand what he was saying. I tilted my head confused. I opened my mouth to speak but the movie started. I turned my attention to the movie instead.

The movie ended and I yawned slightly tired. I looked at my shoulder and saw Akiras head. He must have fallen asleep. I saw how peaceful he looked. I blushed and looked away. "Awe did your boyfriend fall asleep on you?" A women asked. "H-Hes my b-best friend" I stuttered. "Oh I'm sorry I mistaked you two as a couple. You two just looked so cute together" the women said. Her friend smiled. "Yeah we thought you two were on a date" the friend mentioned. My face getting hotter. I went to speak but nothing could come out. "is the movie over?" I heard Akira mumble. He yawned as he moved his head. "Well you have a nice day mam. Take care" the two women said. Akira stretched his arms getting up. "What was that about?" He asked. I stood up and couldn't speak still. I tried but only Inaudible noises happened. "Catherine are you okay?" He asked. I just turned quickly. Walking away with my bag and covering my face. "Catherine" Akira said getting in front of me. I stopped walking. I went to take a step back but tripped instead. I started to fall backwards but Akira caught me. He pulled me to him. His face and mine so close. "Are you being shy because you like me Catherine?" He asked. "N-no. I'm embaressed at the fact that we were called a couple" I said looking away. Akira made me look at him. He smiled and pat my head. "You get embarrassed over everything" he said. "Can w-we just go" I said. "Yeah" he replied walking with me out of the movie theater.

It was raining out. "Goodbye" I said to Akira. He had his umbrella out. "Let me walk you home. You don't have an umbrella" he offered. "Its getting late. You should really get home" I replied. "Your more important" he said. I blushed again. My heart fluttering at his words. No ones ever told me I was important the way he did. "Akira" I said. "If your really that concerned about me getting home. At least take my umbrella" he said holding it out for me. I walked under it and put my hand on it. "You can walk me home this time" I said. He nodded. We walked under the umbrella together. Both of our hands on the umbrellas handle. I looked at my feet blushing madly. I felt so nervous for some reason. I felt so weird. I just wanted to smile brightly and never let this moment of confortable silence end. The rain was so peaceful sounding. The way it hit the ground with a splash. The way it hit the umbrella. It was perfect for my depressed thoughts. Yet it was the perfect time to realize many things. I looked at Akira. He was looking forward. I smiled brightly and gave him a side hug as we walked. He stopped walking. I did as well. He was looking me in my blue eyes. I stared back into his dark eyes. I leaned in closer. His lips almost touching mine. "Catherine! Get your ass inside!" My brother yelled. I jumped away from him. I took off running to the door. "Bye Akira!" I said quickly. I then walked inside the building. Running to my apartment in shock. "What was I thinking!? What the hell was I planning on doing!?" I asked my self as I opened the apartment door. "What happened!?" Zetsu asked jumping from the couch. "Nothing!" I yelled running into my room. I closed the door and jumped on my bed. I barried my face into my pillows. I felt as though I was gonna explode from so many different emotions. How could I have done that? Why would my body automatcally do that? I was so lost. I heard Aketchi and Zetsu outside.

"What's wrong with your sister?" Aketchi asked. "She was outside with her best friend. I'm assuming she's embarrassed I yelled at her from the window" Zetsu explained. Aketchi sighed. "Your sister is a beautiful young lady. She prob'ly was getting hit on" Aketchi said. "Goro. Your joking right? She probly hit on him" Zetsu replied. "Your sister flirt? I dont think it's possible" Aketchi shot. "Oh possible. Shes just to scared to realize her potential" Zetsu said chuckling. "So she can be like her playboy brother?" Aketchi asked. "Hey grade school days don't mean anything!" Zetsu said. "Sure. You had the whole class all over you at recess. You sure you aren't a playboy at heart?" Aketchi asked. "I'm not a playboy. I've just got my ways of getting what I want" Zetsu replied. "So your boss at your one job. You dont flirt with her?" "No I dont." "Your sure." They just kept going back and forth. I closed my eyes. "My brother a playboy? Its possible considering I don't know what he's truly like. We weren't aloud to be around each other much as a kid. My father always called him a mistake... What did my father do to my brother when I wasn't around?" I asked myself. Sleep taking over my racing mind.
