Chapter 7

I walked to my class. I saw Akira and he immediately walked to me. "You okay?" He asked quietly. "Yeah. I'm fine" I replied. "Meet us at the rooftop after school" he said again before taking his seat. I took mine and the bullies were all glaring at me. I sighed and put my head down. I wasn't really in the mood to deal with them. Class started and I payed attention until I heard Morganna talking. I looked at Akiras desk and saw his little tail. The teacher coughed. "Ms. Raggon. Would you like to answer this?" He asked. I gulped. "Yes" I replied. "Good whats the answer?" He asked. I looked at the problem on the board. I shook as I opened my mouth but nothing came out. The whole class staring at me. "T-Twe-twenty f-four" I stuttered. "Correct" the teacher said. I held my face with my hands trying to calm myself down.

After class I got up and ran out of the class. I got to the lunch and bought whatever I could for lunch. I went to an empty classroom and sighed. I looked at my food and opened it. Eating it slowly. Somebody sat next to me "Hey Catherine" Ann said. "Ann hi" I said. "I heard your brother woke up" she said. "Yeah. Its been forever. How's Shiho?" I asked. "She's stable. I just hope shell wake up and be happy" Ann said. "Hey Ann?" I asked. "Yeah?" She questioned. "We should hang out some time. Get to k ow each other more. I have a feeling we could get along well" I said. "Sure Catherine" she said smiling to me. I smiled back. That's when her eyes widened. "Your face is all beat up" she said. "Yeah. This is what it looks like without all that makeup" I said honestly. "How did you get so many bruises?" She asked. "Doesn't matter. Lets leave it for another time" I said. I finished my lunch as she did as well. "Well it was nice sitting with you" I said getting up. "You two" she said. I walked out and ran into Akira. I looked at him. "I can't meet you on the roof. Ill meet you guys in the palace. Today" I said walking away. I gave him no time to reply. I was walking fast to get to class. The bell ringing over head.

After school had finally ended I entered the palace. I looked at my weird outfit and shrugged. "Hey c-""princess" I said cutting ryuji off. "Wait whos this?" I heard Anns voice ask. I turned and saw her in a red costume. "So shes got one. Cool" I said. "Well why did you say princess?" Morganna asked. "Code names duh" I said crossing my arms. "I guess it fits for now" Akira said. "Wait who is she really?" Ann asked. "Catherine" I said quickly as I walked to the entrance. "Whoa! Cool!" Ann said running up. "What's your code name?" I asked. "Dont have one" she said. "I think Panther" I said. "I was thinking sexy cat" Akira said coughing. Me and Ann glaring at him. "I mean it totally fits her!" Ryuji said. Us both glaring at him. "Panther it is" Ann said. "Good that's settle. Lets get through this castle and find where his treasure is" I said entering.

We walked and hid from Shadows. I went to turn a corner but a shadow attacked. I summonded Keath and knocked them down. We did a hold up and I walked forward. "Hmm. I think Joker could use another Persona" I said. I walked to the shadow. "I'll talk this time" I said. I grabbed the shadow and the shadow looked terrified. I smiled and pat the shadows head. "No need to fear me. I'm not here to hurt you. Unless you attack us again. All I want is you to go and be a persona for my friend here" I said. "Why should I listen to you?" the shadow asked. "You dont have to. But it'll be better than working for someone and not having freedom. How about I grant you freedom in stead?" I asked. "Freedom?" It asked. "Shadows are those of hearts. They are the creatures that inhabit the heart and show desire. Shadows are meant to be free and be shared. Not controlled" I said. "You soumd right" it replied. "Then I set thou free" I said. The shadow dissappearing. Something in me had taken over for a second. That's when I remembered.

"Catherine. You have the ability to free Shadows from palaces just like this one. You'll feel it in yourself. When you do. Let that feeling take over and set those shadows free" he said. "Hey aren't you a shadow?" I asked. "Well sorta. I'm a shadow yes but I am your shadow. Your humble servant that'll let you do what you want" he repiled. "But dont you want freedom?" I asked. "I can't get freedom until you give freedom to all the others" he replied. "I'll do that then" I said hugging him.

"What Just happened?" Akira asked. "I just... I dont know" I replied backing away. "I just blacked out" I replied. "Well doesn't matter. We Have to go on. We will find out later" Akira said as we went onward.

After a lot of fighting and walking we made it to our goal. The treasure room. "Alright. Let's send the calling card" Morganna said. "Alright" we all replied. We left the metaverse and I gave everyone a wave bye. "See ya tommorow" I said leaving. I was walking towards the train station when Akira joined me. "Let's go together. We ride at least one train together" he said smiling a little. "Alright sure" I said smiling. He was looking at my face but he didn't ask. It was like he already knew. "So do you still live with your dad?" He asked. "No I live with someone else" I replied.
