Chapter 29

I stepped inside and froze. There sat Kino. His hair wasn't normal and neither was his eyes. "Catherine" he said in a cold voice. His voice sent shivers of fear down my spine. "I am sorry to have snuck in" he said standing up. His skin was dull and had a grayish tone to it. He wore gray jeans and a gray tank top. His shoes gray as well. His jacket was even dull gray like that rest of him. "Uh... Why are you here? Why do you look like Kino. There's no way you are him" I said reaching for my phone. There was no way a stranger got in the house and was planning on not doing anything. This wasn't Kino at all. As much as I don't know about Kino, Cat would never let him do this. He put his hands up without emotion. "No one else can see me. Your the one who can fix Kino right? You can fix the heart?" He asked taking a step forward. He seemed older than Kino the more he got closer. "Fix? Change his heart? I dont understand. Are you saying your a shadow?" I asked. He thought for a moment. "A shadow? Yes I guess that's what you call them. I would say the manifestation of ones desires" he said. "Its not possible for a shadow to be here. Its also impossible for an shadow owner of a palace to be here either" I said calling out his lie. "Kinos not normal. Neither are you and Zetsu. You should have already realized this Catherine Raggon" he said with his dull voice. "Why would you, his shadow, come to me directly? Why would you want a heart change?" I asked taking a step back.

"Besides most desires involved some sort of lust for something. What could Kino possibly have Lust for?" I questioned him more. "He doesn't have Lust nor does he fear. He does have sadness and pain. Though I am the him he does not wish to become, yet he is becoming" he answered. He stopped walking towards me as my back had hit the door. "I as his heart have one want. I want to change. The more he becomes me. The more dull I become" he said as he put a hand against my arm. I looked and saw his dull gray skin become colorful again. "See. You really are special. Your brother Zetsu is also like this. Yet his case is a bit more special. You won't need to change one but two hearts. That white hair and red eyes is his second personality" he explained moving his hand.
"Everyones shows in a different way. Only selected people with the potential of a Persona can see desires, but you go even further Catherine" he said as his body started to fade. "I must go. He's waking up" was all he said before dissappearing.

I put a hand on my head. Everything was so confusing. I had to be dreaming right? I was dreaming this all up because of my own desires right?

Before I knew it, I was opening my eyes to a bright light. I blinked and looked around. I was in my bed. I sighed in relief. "It was all a dream" I said yawning. I stood up and walked to my door. I looked down and saw my school uniform was still on. "Oh I must have fell asleep in my uniform" I said shrugging it off. I opened the door to smell eggs. I ran to the kitchen and saw Aketchi. "Hey Goro!" I said happily. "I see your doing alright" he said glancing back at me. "You alright? I mean last night I got home and couldn't open the door. I managed to get through and found you passed out on the ground in front of it" he explained. My body tense up as a shovel ran down my back. "What?" I asked in shock. "You mean to tell me you had no idea you passed out?" He questioned. I couldn't speak at all. Was what really happened not a dream? Thats impossible. He stopped cooking and gave me some breakfast. "Your pushing yourself to hard in school aren't you?" He asked with concern laced in that voice of his. "Goro... I didn't know I passed out. I was standing there. Next second I was waking up in my bed" I said looking away. I couldn't look into those worried eyes of his. "Catherine. You need to relax. Take this day off of school" he said sitting next to me. "I can't!" I said a little to quickly. Aketchi shot me a suspicious glance as I hid my face with my hair. "Zetsu used to put your hair up right?" He asked me. He was changing the subject. It was like he knew I was better not to bumbard me with questions. "Yeah he did. Sadly he probably forgot how to do my hair. I'm surprised he could still cook" I said giggling. "You know. I acctually didn't think of that. He seemed to be so strong. It was as if he was awake this entire time" Aketchi said eating some of his food.

A sigh escaped my lips. "My brothers a strong man. Always was the strongest person I knew. Even now he must still be as strong as always. I have so much faith in him" I said passionatly as I smiled. Aketchi put a hand on my shoulder. "Catherine, He's lucky to have a sister like you. A person who's cheering him on. I know he must feel it deep down."

I smiled even more at those sweet words. I turned and hugged him. "Goro... I'm happy Zetsu made a friend like you" I whispered to him. I felt Goro wrapped his arms around me hesitantly. He then let go and clear his throat. He gave me a cheerful smile. "If your going to school. You better get going" he said finishing his food.

I ate my food quickly. I got dressed and headed out. The thought of my brother and kino not leaving my mind. I was walking down the street when a fancy car stopped by me. The door opened to....
