Chapter 18

I woke up the next day. Getting up for another day of school. I looked down at my hands. My eyes watering up. I already missed my brother waking me up. I started to cry. I heard the door open. Aketchi walking to me. He brought me into another hug. "Do you want to be by me today. I dont have to go work. I'll stay here with you if you want" he said. "No its fine" I said sniffling. "I'll go to school. Even if your offering I stay home" I said. "Are you sure?" He asked. "Yes. I'm very sure" I said. "Well you have my number. If you need me or get more depressed. Please call me" he said. "Alright Goro" I said. He smiled and left. I sighed and pulled a uniform out of my closet. I pulled my contact out of my eyes and threw them out. They were destroyed. I put my glasses on and pushed the black frames up my nose. I undid the pigtails in my hair. My hair closely going down my back and around my face. I brushed it out. Putting the clean uniform on next. I walked outside and saw Zetsus Jacket that was hanging up. I walked over. I grabbed the jacket with tears. Putting the black jacket on. The white letters on the front reading a brand name. It smelled like him. It had a colonge smell that made me feel relaxed. I didn't cry this time. I just let the sadness leave me. I wasn't going to cry over him. Not yet. I had to save him. If I failed to save him then I'll cry. I'll shed those salty tears. But before then I needed to fight. Fight for him. I grabbed my bookbag. "I can save him. I'm confident I can" I said leaving the house.

I got to school. People looking at me weird. I saw that group of girls. Sumi wasn't with them. They ran away scared. I sighed. "Guess I'm considered a trouble child now? Who cares" I said quietly. I walked into my class. There he was. My brother. He was talking to Ann. "Your kidding! You can't just leave her like that!" I heard Ann say. "Who are you talking about?" I asked. "Catherine tell your brother he's crazy!" Ann said. "Brother? I don't have one. My brothers trapped somewhere and needs saved. I don't know this man" I said. Zetsus eyes going wide. Ann looked shocked. "Why are you two ignoring each other like this?" She asked. "Ignoring? I don't know this man. He's a stranger. Why do you think he's crazy?" I asked. "B-because he's transfering schools without you..." Ann said confused. "Not my problem" I said sitting down. Ann was silent. "Bye Takamiki" Zetsu said leaving. I gripped the sleeves of the jacket. "I'm going to save him" I whispered. "Catherine whats going on?" Ann asked. "Long story. I'll explain to everyone another time. For now. Lets plan a celebration for our success" I said. Ann just fell silent.

After school I walked onto the roof where the others were. "We changed the heart of Komoshida successfully. Let's celebrate" Ann said. I sat down. "I agree. We should celebrate" I said crossing my arms.

After a while of discussing and finding out what we were gonna do we all left. Making my way home. I stopped when I heard commotion in a nearby ally. I ran over and saw this man about to hit this women. She had already had bruises. I ran over and got in the way. The man hitting me. Yet I didn't budge at all. "Hasn't anyone ever taught you not to hit a women" I said grabbing the man's fist and twisting his wrist. "That bitch deserves it" the man said. "Even if she did. She should be given betrer judgement. Your judgement is clouded" I said. I could feel the corruption. I could feel those distorted desires. It could form into a palace at this rate. "You can do it" Reaper said in my head. "Change his heart. You have enough power to do it. Right here right now" he said. I gripped the man's fist tighter. The world around me seemingly getting distorted. "Stop hurting others. Even if they wrong you. Don't put them in the pain that's in your heart" I said. The man's eyes were glowing yellow. It was like I stood facing his shadow. "I will" the shadow said as the world went normal. The man passed out. I looked at the women. "Your okay right?" I asked. "Thanks ms." She said with tears. "He wont hurt you any longer" I said walking away. "Ms. Wait!" She said. I stopped. "What did you do?" she asked. I just made him realize his mistakes" I said. I then put the hood of my jacket up. Leaving the women behind. Getting home and feeling drained for some reason. Aketchi wasn't home yet. That was okay though. I sat on the couch. Laying my head back. I closed my eyes and just sat in the peaceful silence.

The door opened. I didn't care. I knew who it was. I heard footsteps coming towards me. I felt hair on my cheeks and opened my eyes. "Where did that bruise come from?" Aketchi asked. "Well Goro. I stopped a man from hurting this women. It was just a small punch" I said. "Catherine. You need to stop fighting people" he said. "If your gonna kiss me do it" I said. His cheeks got pink as he shot back. "Catherine!" he yelled. "What? At that angle it would look wrong to others" I said looking at him. "Geez maybe he was right" Aketchi said shaking his head. "Oh about me secretly having flirting skills or charms?" I asked. "You heard us talking?" He asked. "Yeah I did Goro. It wasnt much of anything. I mostly just wanted to see your reaction" I said getting up. "Well I don't have school for a few days. So I'll be chilling here" I said. Aketchi coughed. "Understood" he said. I smiled. He was pretty adorable when he blushed. I gave a tiny giggle and left to my room.
