Chapter 26

I looked towards the room Kino had gone into. "So what exactly happened to him as a kid?" I asked. "I can't tell you. Kino hasn't said anything. He gets so mad when I bring up his adoptive parents. Many believed they were loving people but others had their suspicions about things" Kino's aunt said. "Really? What were they?" I asked. "Four different types of Abuse. Harrassment. All tyoes of things people supposidly saw in the Radgrive mansion" she replied. "I never properly introduced myself. My name is Cat" she said changing the subject. She shook my hand. "Catherine" I introduced. "Kino used to talk about how he needed to find you and your brother. Said he wanted to know how you two came out after living a terrible life... Guess he's just trying to find out if its possible to be positive after bad experiences" Cat explained. "Wonder how bad the experience was then" I whispered. "Prob'ly not worst than someone I know" Cat said. She was looking down at her arms. She was wearing long sleeves on a very hot day. "Did you have a bad past too?" I asked. "Doesn't matter. I promised whatevet happened that id forget it all for my nephews sake. I'm sure you've noticed by now... But he's not a normal boy... Just like you and your brother aren't normal either" Cat said looking me in the eyes. "Its getting late. You should get home" She said. She grabbed car keys. "Let me drive you" she offered. "Its not that late" I said. "Late enough" she replied skipping out the door. I walked to the door and looked behind me. "One day Kino. I'm going to make you tell me everything. Make you open up and be the real you instead of this thing you are right now" I said before leaving.

"Did you know his birthdays soon?" Cat asked as we sat in the car. "It is?" I asked. "Yeah... I want you to come over and try to convince him out of his room okay?" Cat asked. "Why would he lock himself in his room?" I asked. "No idea" Cat said looking down. "Heck I only found out his birthday because every year he does the same thing on the same day. Only that day" Cat replied. She stopped by where I told her. "Hey thanks" I said. "Hey if you feel like he's a main character in your story. You'd be sorta right" Cat said winking. She then left. I looked confused and shook my head. "And I thought my brother was the weirdest person I'd ever meet" I said walking inside. I checked my phone and saw a text from the group chat. Something about a new palace. I sighed and shook my head. If I planned on saving Zetsu I needed them to be ready. But why did I have a feeling there were more options now. I felt like I had a strong bond with people. I shook my head at the nonesense I came up with.

The next day I walked to the hideout. There stood my companions. They explained the situation and what the plan was. I agreeded and Akira lead us into the palace. "God the desires in this place" I said sighing. "We finally get to check Catherine out" I heard Ryuji whisper. Me and Ann both glaring at him.

We entered and walked past the many portraits of all those Madarame had used as stepping stones for his greed. I saw a shaodw and hid with the team. The shadow sonehow finding us. "Dagger" I said. That demonic persona I had appeared. He had two guns. Shooting the shadow repeatedly until it was done for. He disappeared and I cracked my knuckles walking on. "When did you get another persona? Are you like Joker? Able to weild multiple personas?" Ann asked. "Not exactly" I replied. We then were surronded by shadows as there stood Madarame dressed as a women. "What disgusting desires" I said. I held out my hand. "Reaper!" I demanded. Reaper appeared. He held his scythe high above his head. He sliced and the surronding shadows were all damaged to near Death. They all fled like Madarame did minutes before. "Hold crap! Catherine! Your personas are so over powered!" Ryuji said. I coughed. "My will isn't strong enough to weild that attack. Can we leave for today. I won't make it any farther" I said holding my chest in pain. Akira picked me up bridal style. "Alright. Next time take it easy" he said. We left. He carried me the entire time. His arms holding me close. We got to the exit and left. My body aching. I never thought one attack would do such damage to myself. I pushed myself to hard for just recovering not to long ago.

Akira set me down. My legs shook as my body gave up. Ryuji and Ann caught me. "I'll take her home" Akira said. He got on a knee in front of me. "I have a skirt on" I complained. "I can't carry your bridal style. I already did a lot and my arms hurt" he mentioned. I blushed and got on his back. "He got up and kept his arms under my knees. I kept wrapped around his shoulders as he carried me. "See you guys later" he said. "Bye guys" I said waving. He carried me away. It was comfortable oddly. "Your apartments not to far thankfully" Akira said. I smiled as I kept my head on his right shoulder. "You care to much about me" I mentioned. Akira Stayed quiet. "Oh so you don't. Your just trying to seem nice" I said giggling. "Catherine. Your a funny girl" Akira said chuckling. He stopped in front of my apartment. I yawned. "Take me inside" I whispered closing my eyes. "Your so demanding" Akira said. I could feel us walking up the steps. I grabbed the keys from my pocket and gave them to Akira. I heard him unlock the door and heard it close behind us. I felt my body being dropped on a bed. I opened my eyes and yawned. "Thank you" I said cuddling in my blankets. Akira pat my head and walked away. "See you later Catherine" he said leaving. I giggled and snuggled my pillow.
