Chapter 28

After school we met up. We prepared Ann to go with Morganna. Afterward they were off. We entered the palace and got to the door. "We should have sent Catherine to go with Ann. I'm worried aboht her" Akira said. "Ann can handle herself" I said. "Yes but she's not you Mace" Ryuji said as if it was a fact. "Your right cause she's stronger" I said. We all fell quiet as we waited. "So Mace. Your rebel heart is f'in distracting" Ryuji said staring. I sighed. "I didn't choose this" I said simply. "Skull stop staring at her" Akira ordered. He looked at me. "And you. From now on. Maybe you should bring a coat cause he's right. Your very distracting in that outfit" Akira said like the boss he is. I crossed my arms over my chest. "Your being ridiculous! Maybe your outfits distracting!" I said. I turned to not face them. "I hate this outfit as much as the next person" I added. I was spun around to face Akira. "It was a suggestion" he said. "Maybe your suggestion is offensive" I shot. He huffed. "Mace your a pain sometimes" Akira said. I walked past him. "I know" I said with a sassy tone.

We waited for a while until the door finally opened. "Its open!" Ryuji exclaimed. "They pulled it off" I said running in. Once inside we looked around. "This place is even more distorted" I said. I looked at Ryuji and Akira. We tried what we could. But nothing seemed to work. "Let's head back" Akira said. "Alright Joker" me and Ryuji replied in sync. Me and Ryuji looked at each other. Soon we Both laughed a little. High fiving each other. Ryuji looked and blushed. "I just noticed your outfit again. Man your F'ing distracting" Ryuki mentioned. Akira grabbed Ryujis arm and dragged him away. "Come on Mace" he said. "Of course" I replied following after the two.

Eventually we were stopped when we heard Ann yelling. Her and a guy fell in front of us. His blue hair and blue eyes told me exactly who he was. He was a painting on a wall. Yusuke Kitagawa. I can tell his work from anyone else's. Even if Madarame stole Yusukes work. I still knew it was his. Always had a feeling it was. "Panther! Are you alright!?" I asked running over to help her up and away from Yusuke. She did land in his arms. She got out of Yusukes arms and hugged me. "Those two pervs didn't try anything right?" She asked. "Of course not Panther. Are you alright? You did it though! The doors open!" I asked and told her the news. "Good! And yeah I'm fine" Ann replied sighing in relief that the plan worked.

Yusuke looked around. He stopped and locked eyes with me. "Who are you?" He asked. He looked at Ann. "Is that you Tamaki?" He asked. "Yeah. Its me" she replied. "So those two must be your friends. But who's this?" He asked. I waved. "You'll see when we leave this place. We have to get him to safety as a first priority" I said. Akira gave a nod. "I agree. Lets get out of here as soon as possible" he said walking. We then were stopped by shadows and Madarames shadow. Madarame and Yusuke kept talking. That was until Yusuke was grabbed and the shadows attacked us. "Yusuke! Stop letting him control you! He never cared for you! Trust me my own father did the same thing!" I yelled. Yusuke looked at me as I held shadows off of me using Keath and Dagger. Yusuke held his head in pain as he dropped to the floor. He scratched his hand on the ground as he ripped the mask off his face. His persona appearing. He destroyed some shadows and threatened Madarame. Madarame ran away like the coward he was. Yusuke collapsing. I caught him and held him up the best I could. "Hold on in there Yusuke" I said. Akira and Ryuji took him from me and helped him walk. "Come on. Lets get out of here" I said keeping them safe as we left.

We made it back to the real world. Yusuke looked at me. "You look like Catherine Raggon" Yusuke said. "Yeah thats me. Go get some rest alright. We will answer all your questions later" I said. He nodded in agreement.

We all went our separate ways. Well most of us. Akira walked next to me as we stayed quiet. The silence was nice. It wasn't awkward or anything. I appreciated just having someone walking with me. I stayed quiet as I walked with him. "Catherine. I am glad to have you on the team. I just want you to know that your an important member to the team. That we are all your friends as well" he said. He gave me a soft and gentle smile. I gave a big smile back. We stopped walking and stood there. Waiting for the train to come. "Akira. Thank you for saying that. I really needed that" I told him. I gave his shoulder a gentle pat as the train pulled up. We got on and managed to sit next to each other. Akira pulled a book from his bag and I played games on my phone.

We got to my stop and I stood up. I smiled and waved bye to him as I got off. He waved bye back with a small smile. I smiled and started to walk towards where I lived. It wasn't to far but it was a decent walk. I got to the apartment and yawned. Not realizing I was this tired. I saw a note on the door and sighed.

"Hey Catherine. I'm working late tonight so your on your own. I'm sorry. I'll be there when you wake up. I made sure to put the spare key in your bookbag so you could get in" I read the note out loud. It was signed Aketchi. Nothing new. I knew this would happen sometimes. So I dug into my bookbag until I found the key. I unlocked the door and went inside to get some rest.
