∆Adamson's P.O.V∆

I gestured Hans to unlock the double door so I can get inside with my pretty baby who was taking her surroundings all in. No sooner did we walk in she stopped than I heard a light gasp. I chuckled and wrapped one arm around her little waist while tucking the other in my trousers pocket and started wandering and tugging her along. She tensed up when I touched her but after a few encouraging words from me and Hans trying to talk and divert her mind showing the different rooms and places she focused on the rooms and places. Overall she was doing alright. We were near a guest room when my phone started ringing, I took out my phone to read the caller ID half expecting it to be from work and praying I don't have to go immediately leaving my new found treasure.

Jake

I sighed, relieved. I needed help anyways.

The call:

J: Hey man
A: Hi
J: What up with her? Any trouble?
A: Nah, not really but, I'm guessing she's still not trusting me though.
J: No shit Sherlock! Don't be stupid Addy. I told you it's been years we've been dating and she's still doubting I might hurt her. So that really ain't news.
A: But she chose to come to my place instead of you yea?
J: I'm trying to help you here!! *sigh* Nevermind. Just let me know if you need help or anything's wrong, remember we live only blocks away okay?
A: Yep Dad
J: Jeez it's you who does the nasty stuff Ace, not me. Bye
A: Shut the duck up Jak- (not a typo)

The heck he thinks he's doing calling my life 'nasty?'

"What's up? You look like you tasted crap" Hans chimed.

I saw Elle glance at me and then back at the floor as she bit her lip trying to keep from smiling.

At least she's in a good mood.

" I'd keep my mouth shut if I were you Hans" I said seriously.

He just laughed and put his hand up showing he surrenders. Well he'd have been six foot under if he wasn't my friend.

"Get me a glass of water and prepare a meal for her if you can dude. She's not had her breakfast it's nearly lunch time" I requested.

∆Lee's P.O.V∆

I stood still as Hans walked away somewhere to bring my food. I wasn't hungry heck, my life just turned upside down. Once I was in the bar now at some stranger's house. All of a sudden choosing Adamson over Jake didn't seem like a clever choice. Even if he'd get angry at me, Jake was definitely the better option right now. Am I such a st-

I flinched as Adamson tapped my shoulder gaining my attention back once again. And as if my fear returned all over again, I backed away a few steps shaking my head slowly. My breaths weren't normal either. I had always been anxious over one thing or the other but the situation seemed to overwhelm me at certain moments when I would not be able to control myself.

"Hey what's wrong?" He asked concern lacing his voice.

"Please take me home..." I whispered.

"Wha... I-it's ok, I'm-I'm not going to hurt you okay?"

"Please..." I cried. Literally. I was biting my lip in between my teeth to stop myself from sobbing out. And every step he took, though cautious, I could feel my pulse in my ears.

Thud...

Thud...

Thud...

Thud...

"...ey, you're okay. Talk to me. Hey hey." Jake comforted me.

Jake, yes, it's him. Jake.

I immediately hugged his chest as hard as I could and grabbed handfuls of his shirt as I soaked his shirt. I just couldn't figure out why I was crying. But I was full on sobbing.

My chest was feeling so tight. Suffocating me. I couldn't breathe. As if a thousand bricks were falling on my chest every second and my own heart almost beating out of my chest. My vision was out of focus due to my tears but as more seemed to pour out by the second, I couldn't see clearly. What's happening? Am I dying? It hurts! My chest, my arms, my legs , my head. Everything hurts.

Oh God help me.

Soon I was into hysterics. I couldn't hear anyone, anything. I didn't understand anything. Who was speaking? who was moving? Was I falling? My confusion led me to get more anxious.

Was I dreaming? Yes, it had to be a dream I'd just wake up. Soon. In my bed. In my ho-

"ELLE!!" I heard someone yell and slap me

Felt as if I was in a trance, I stood stock still for a minute before exhaling shakily and taking a deep breath. Blinking a few times I broke down again silently.

I am so tired of crying. Why was I so weak so ...sad? I don't even know the reason why I'm crying or had that pretty scene a while ago.

I felt all my sense back again. I looked around seeing I was lying on the sofa with Jake and Adamson kneeling in front of me. I could see their lips moving and soon, slowly I started hearing everything. They were trying to calm me down and get me to relax. I wanted to ask what I did and leave my lips from the tight grasp of my teeth just a little when I realised the raw metallic taste in my mouth. I licked my lower lip to get the same taste again.

I tried to croak out anything I could as my throat felt like the Sahara desert, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry about earlier. I just..."

"Panicked" Hans completed my sentence as he slowly approached from what I assume is the kitchen with a tray in his hand.

I looked down on my lap as I suddenly felt bad for over-reacting. Adamson hadn't even done anything wrong. He wanted to make me feel at home just. I felt another wave of fresh tears ready to fall as I closed my eyes and shook my head trying to make them go away.

"I'm so so sorry. I didn't mean to do it. I was just scared. I'm not-"

"Hush now, it's okay. I understand. No need to apologise" Adamson said softly and with a small smile added, "I bet you're hungry after all that crying"

All three men laughed and joked for the next few hours as I finished my food and sat there. Trying to process everything that's happened and happening.

Oh no! What have I gotten myself into?!
