Poisoned (Sonadow)

Chapter 16

Amy's P.O.V.

After we finished cleaning, we sat down in the living room, talking about random stuff.

"So, how's Sonic?" Silver asked, his eyes lit up, wanting to know how his old friend is.

"He's fine. He just got poisoned." I calmly said, not wanting to make it sound too bad, but failed. Silver's jaw dropped when he heard what i said. "JUST got poisoned?! What do you mean he JUST got poisoned?!" His eyes were about to pop out of his head.

"He's fine! Shadow's looking after him!" I said to try to calm him down, but again failed. "SHADOW?! His ENEMY? Are out of your mind?" He started panicking, so I looked over at Tails for help.

He got the hind and quickly explained that the poison is not deadly and the he takes the antidote. He also said that Shadow promised not to harm him.

"And you believed him?" Silver asked once more still not believing what he heard.

"Yes, Tails promised that he will give him his chaos emerald." I sighed.

"I wouldn't trust him so easily" He mumbled and crossed his arms.

"You care too much about him" Mephiles said, I could see he was jealous.

"No I don't, I just can't believe he got poisoned. How did he?" I was irritated by Silver's nonsense, but I didn't show it.

"A piece of metal stabbed Sonic on his knee, the poison was on it so it went inside his body" I explained.

"But why Shadow? You could ask Rouge or Knuckles or bring him with you!" Silver just couldn't stop talking and yelling.

"We couldn't Silver, Rouge had to go on a mission, Knuckles has to protect the Master Emerald, and was no way we could bring him with us, the poison could spread out." Tails was calm while explaining, but I could feel he was upset.

"Alright you have a point." Silver pouted. Then Vanilla opened the door, holding lots of bags with Cream helping her.

I ran to her and took some bags. "Thank you Amy." Vanilla smiled at me, which warmed my heart, she was so polite all the time, Cream was very lucky to have her as a mother.

"I wanted to help you too! But you let me take only two bags." Cream said, her eyes sparkled as she had Cheese beside her. "Chao chao!"

"I know sweety, but you didn't have to." Vanilla petted Cream's head, makoing her blush.

I smiled at that, Cream was just her mother, she was always willing to help and polite, never insulting or hating someone.

I set the bags on the kitchen counter and called Blaze to come and help me.

"What is it?" She asked when came beside me.

"I need you to take the bags the Vanilla's holding and bring them here." I said. She nodded, kissed my cheek and left. I was pretending as if nothing happened but my mind was replaying the kiss over and over again.

She brought the bags, placed on the counter and wrapped her hands around me as I was cooking. " What are you cooking?" She asked.

"Don't do that! They'll see us!" I whispered, not wanting to be heard.

"Okay, do you need help?"She unwrapped her hands and opened the fridge.

"Yes, I need you to cut the vegetables over there." I pointed at the other side of the room, where there were different vegetables.

She nodded, kissed my cheek one more time and went over to the table.

We finished cooking, set the table and called everyone for dinner.

"So, how's Sonic?" Vanilla asked, since she wasn't here when we 'discussd' things with Silver.

"He's fine, just a bit sick." Tails lied, making it obvious he didn't want to talk about it.

"Poor thing. Who's taking care of him?" She asked again her eyes showing sympathy.

"Shadow." I answered. Tails glared at me.

"Oh really? I new he had a soft spot." She said, warm smile appeared on her muzzle.

I nodded and started eating, I was exhausted with everything that happened today, the only thing I wanted was a good sleep.

Me and Silver were doing the dishes while chatting for different things.

"So how's the future?" I asked him as I was washing the last plate.

"Wonderful! Thanks to Sonic." He answered, mumbling the last part.

"Look Silver, Shadow might hate Sonic, but I'm sure he wouldn't fall that low and hit someone who is sick." I reassured him, placing my hand on his shoulder.

"I guess you're right." He sighed. I simply nodded and left the room.

I went to the room I usually sleep when I come to visit Cream and saw Blaze laying there. She was reading a book and her feet were under the blanket.

"Do you want me to sleep on the couch? I don't have a problem with that." I said and opened the door to leave.

"No, I want you to sleep with me~." She smirked, making me blush and shut the dooor quickly before anyone hears us.

"Okay then, if you insist~." I hopped on the bed and saw the book that she was reading. Soon enough we fell asleep while cuddling.

Vanilla's P.O.V.

I checked on everyone to see if they were sleeping, an old habit of mine ever since I had Cream. I saw Tails peacefully sleeping on the couch, Silver hugging the new male that came to my house and Amy cuddling Blaze. I smiled when I saw that Amy was finally happy, I could feel that she wasn't her old self after that trip to the future, but never knew why. Now I'm happy for her, she found something that she always wanted.

I remember a year ago she would always tell me that she wanted someone to love and love her, now she found it.

Love is something that everyone needs.
