Poisoned (Sonadow)

Chapter 22

Sonic's P.O.V.

I woke up and saw that I was lying on my bed. I quickly sat up, causing a massive headache. I groaned and tried to remember what happened.

Then I remembered everything. The pain, the terrified look on Shadow's face...

'Wait, where's Shadow?' I asked myself. I got up slowly since my headache was still making it hard for me to see clearly, and walked to the living room.

"Shadow?" I went to the stairs that were leading to the living room. I took a step, but due to the lack of balance, I tripped and almost fell down the stairs. I felt a hand grabbing mine as I shut my eyes, waiting for the pain from the fall.

"You should've been more careful, you just woke up from a two-days sleep." I heard Shadow say from behind me. My eyes widened.

"Two days!? How is this possible!?" I shouted. He sighed and shook his head.

"You were exhausted from the pain that was caused by the antidote. I told you you not to move but you didn't listen, as always." He explained to me. I nodded in understanding.

"But why did the antidote cause all that? Shouldn't it heal me or something?" I looked at Shadow questionably.

"As I said, you mustn't move your foot at all for an hour and a half." He said as he helped me get down the stairs. I looked over at him, he looked so serious, more that he's usually.

"Is there something wrong? You seem worried." I raised a brow. He sighed and nodded, but then shook his head.

"Yes and no. I'm happy you woke up, but Rouge told your fox friend that I have feelings for you." He mumbled the last part, but I was able to hear it.

"She what? Who else knows?" I asked. He shrugged and sat me down.

"Do you want to eat anything?" He stood up and went in the kitchen.

"Yeah, I'm really hungry. What did you make?" I sniffed the air. I heard him laugh softly, something he doesn't usually do around others

"We have your favourite." He said and brought two plates with chilli dogs. My eyes lit once I saw them and my stomach growled.

"Don't eat the plate." He joked when he gave the plate. I rolled my eyes and sarcastically laughed. I took the plate and licked his lips.

Shadow sat next to me and kissed my cheek. I blushed, lowered my ears and looked away. He then held my chin and made me look at him.

"I missed you those two days." He said in a low tone, sending shivers down my spine. He brought his face closer to mine and kissed me on the lips. I closed my eyes and kissed back. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he wrapped his around my waist.

We were having a romantic time, until the door opened with Tails coming in. "Shadow is Sonic-" He froze when he saw us.

"Wait, what? He likes you back!? And he didn't tell me!?" He shouted. He was losing his mind, while Shadow groaned and stood up. He took Tails' hand and chaos controlled somewhere else.

I was left with an open mouth, staring at nothing. I shook my head after a few seconds and ate the rest of the chilli dog.

Then, Shadow came back, growling.

"What happened?" I asked after he calmed down.

"I got Miles back to Vanilla's and told him not to come back if it's not necessary. And of it is, then he has to call me." He explained calmly. I nodded and swallowed the last bite of my chilli dog.

I took him plate and brought the chilli dog a few inches away from his mouth. He raised a brow and looked at me with a serious look.

"What are you doing?" He smiled.

"You need to eat and I want to feed you." I laughed. At least I didn't have to move my foot to do that.

He sighed and shook his head, then opened his mouth. I laughed even more when he took a bite and the sauce was all over his muzzle. He went to the kitchen, brought some napkins and gave them to me. I took them cleaned the sauce, holding my laughter.

I lost it when his stomach growled. He was laughing too, but not as much as I did. When I calmed down I continued feeding him as we laughed at how childish we were.
