Poisoned (Sonadow)

Chapter 19

Sonic's P.O.V.

When we finished eating Shadow dashed to his house and came back with Rouge's wheelchair.

"Hop on." He said with a slight smile. I nodded and sat on it and we went to the forest, which is not too far from my house.

We were walking deep into the forest, talking and laughing, until we heard something in the distance. 

"Did you hear that?" I asked him. He nodded and kept quiet, trying to identify what made that sound. After a few seconds of close hearing, I understood what it was. "It's Eggman." I growled.

"Stay here while i go and see what he's up to again" Shadow whispered but I didn't like the idea.

"No, take me with you, it'll be safer." He nodded again and slowly pushed the wheelchair to the noise. We were as quiet as possible, we didn't want to get caught. I was already poisoned, i didn't want to get worst.

When we were able to see what was going on, my eyes widened. We had found his laboratory. There were robots everywhere, the poor animals were been roboticised in that building. My heart ached at the feeling that I let them down.

"We have to go" Shadow said after a minute of staring at the building. I nodded and held back tears, it hurt a lot seeing them in that condition. 'Once I'm cured, I'll save you'.

We walked back hom, the image was stuck in my head.

"Come on Sonic , don't make that face, we'll save them once you get better." Shadow tried to cheer me up.

"We?" I asked.

"Yes. Why? You want to save them alone?" He raised a brow. 

"NO. No... It just surprised me, that's all." I said. It was already afternoon, we were really deep into the forest.

"How about we call Rouge to come over tomorrow? We won't tell her about us if you don't want to." He suggested and I nodded, I wanted to talk to Rouge about this. I haven't been in a relationship for years, so I needed help.

"I don't mind telling her about us, I'm sure she will keep it a secret." I said and Shadow chuckled.

"No way she'll keep her mouth shut." He said. I then raised a brow.

"She kept the secret that you had a crush on me." I laughed. He didn't say anything for a few seconds. "I guess you're right."

When we arrived home, I sat on the couch and Shadow went on the kitchen after he told me that it was time I got the antidote.

"Here, take these." He handed me the usually pills and a glass of water. I took them and raised my arm for him to do his part. I was staring at nothing the whole time, the only thing in my mind was the poor animals that were tortured because I wasn't there for them.

"Are you still thinking about that?" Shadow asked, as if he was inside my head. I looked at him and nodded lowering my ears. "They're okay Sonic, it's not your fault they were captured." He slightly smiled at me, making me do the same. 

"Thanks Shads, don't worry I'll get over it." I waved my hand and stood up. Shadow raised a brow and asked where I was going. 

"Wanna watch a movie? I'm bored and there's nothing to do.

"Sure, but you'll sit down." He agreed and he slightly pushed me down. I frowned at his words. I wanted to at least walk a little, it wouldn't harm me.

"Come on! I want to stretch my legs." I stood up again. "I promise I will only walk, nothing else." I promised. He gave in and nodded, knowing I was too stubborn to listen to him.
