Poisoned (Sonadow)

Chapter 27

Amy's P.O.V.

It has been two weeks already, which meant that we could finally go home, not that I didn't like Vanilla's company, it's just that, nothing feels like home.

Before we left, Vanilla gave us a basket full of different foods and snacks, which was her way of saying 'Thank you'. We gladly accepted them, since her cooking is the best in the whole universe, and started our way to our houses.

We were all talking about our lifes so far, or what we would do now that Silver, Mephiles and most importantly, Blaze live here. I offered them to stay at my place, but Silver and Mephiles disagreed. "That's very kind of you Amy, but we already agreed on staying with Tails for a little while, until we find a place of our own." Silver said as he held Mephile's hand, trying not to make it noticeable. 

I looked at Tails and raised a brow. "Did Sonic approve this?" I asked him. He nodded after he swallowed the cupcake that Vanilla had put in the basket. "He told me it was fine by him and that he would be more than happy to help an old friend." He said and took another cupcake.

"Do you know how he's doing with his condition?" I asked once again. He nodded again, but a little after his eyes widen and quickly tapped something on his phone. I got confused at his action. "Did something bad happen?" I looked on his screen, but he turned off his phone and put it in his backpack. "No, I thought I forgot one of my mashines open, but I didn't." He obviously lied, but I just shook it off.

I looked at Blaze, who was just gazing at nothing, I held her hand and shook it a bit. She turned to me and hummed. "What's wrong?" She looked at me with a strange expression that I couldn't really recognise, it was between sadness, fear and anger. 

"You look like something's bothering you." I tightened my grip. She shook her head and smiled. "Nothing it's just that, I'm afraid of my home, what will they do without me? What if the someone attacks and kills all of them?" She frowned more and more by each word. I walked slower for the others to past us, then hugged Blaze and tried to calm her down, for she started crying. She cried on my shoulder and hugged me back, saying how afraid she was. 

"Do you want to go ask for a while and come back on April? I don't mind." I suggested while rubbing her back. 

"A-Are y-you s-sure?" She sobbed and cleaned her tears. I nodded and kissed her cheek. She calmed down and then we caught up with the others.

"Are you okay? What happened?" Tails asked me, but I didn't answer, I just help Blaze's hand and kept walking, but I talked after a while of awkward silence.

Shadow's P.O.V. 

I woke up to the sun blinding me, even with the curtains closed. I looked at my right when I felt a breathing hitting my ear and saw Sonic sleeping as he hugged my arm and mumbling chilly dogs. I chuckled and tried to get up, but Sonic hugged my waist. "Mhh~ Stay here~" I blushed and my eyes widened, when I looked at him he was smirking at me half asleep. 

My blush darkened when he sat up and pinned me down to the bed. "What are you-" He cut me off by kissing me. I didn't know what he was thinking, but I kissed back and hugged his waist, while he wrapped his hands around my neck. We were cut off by my communicator rang. I growled silently as I reached over to my communicator, which was on my bedside table, I looked at the notifications and saw that Miles had sent me a message.

Tails: We are on our way home, all of us

I looked at Sonic with a hurt and worried look, which he thankfully noticed. "What's wrong?" He asked worried and I showed him the message. He then looked at me with the same expression.

"So soon? But I want to spend more time with you." He said and hugged me, hiding his face in my chest fur. I petted him and tried to find a solution other than telling everyone we are dating, but there was none.

"Sonic, we have to tell them, there's no other way." I kissed his forehead. He looked at me with a sad expression. 

"But what will they say? What if they make fun of us?" He looked outside the window.

"Then they're not your friends, true friends must accept you for who you are." I said and made him look at me. He smiled at me and slowly nodded. 

"You're right, I guess it will be some kind of test." He softly laughed. I pecked his lips and stood up and went downside. "Take a shower and come down, breakfast will be ready once you're finished." I said before leaving the door. I went in the kitchen and made chilly dogs for us, then tidied the bedroom and living room.

When I was done cleaning, I saw Sonic sliding down the rail. "Woohoo! No needles!" He yelled full of happiness. I rolled my eyes and smiled, then sat down beside him and ate my breakfast.
