Poisoned (Sonadow)

Chapter 28

Sonic's P.O.V.

We were eating our breakfast peacefully, talking and laughing, then suddenly the door opened, revealing my friends.

I quickly sat up correctly, since I was laying on Shadow's stomach, and greeted everyone with a warm hug, except Mephiles.

"Silver! Blaze! Nice to see you guys!" I said after the hugs.

"Nice to see you too Sonic!" Silver smiled cutely.

He continued talking about how much he missed me, until he said something that caught my attention.

"We took a long time to bring back Blaze, but thanks to Mephiles we-" He said but I cut him off.

"Hold up, Mephiles? Who almost killed me?" My eyes widened. "You brought him here? Why?"

"You're the one to talk? Shadow tried to killed you too, but you let him watch after you." Silver crossed his arms and raised a brow.

"Shadow didn't actually kill me though. Also, he didn't know what Maria meant when he did try to kill me." I tried to reason with him, but it was no use.

"He hates you with all his heart, he told you so many times and you still believe he has changed?" His words hurt me a lot, but I didn't show it. 

"That's not true! He never said that." I kept my anger, which was slowly rising.

"Oh yeah" Are you sure? I can remember many times that he threatened to kill you and take over the world." He continued talking nonsense. I looked over at Tails asking for help. Luckily, he noticed it and came between us.

"What's going on here? Why are you fighting?" He stood in front of me in a protective manner. I looked around to see where everyone else was. I saw Amy laughing with Blaze in the living room and Shadow talking with Mephiles in the kitchen, which angered me. I glared at Mephiles when he looked at me. Shadow looked at me with a serious expression, telling me that everything is okay. I sighed and turned my head back to Tails and Silver. They were arguing about Shadow.

"He changed Silver. Why can't you accept it?"Tails growled and brought his face closer to Silver's.

"We both know that it's all a lie! He tried hurting all of us!" Silver kept on saying the same thing again and again.

"So did Mephiles! Why did you forgive him right away?" Tails was extremely close to him, so I softly pulled him close to me.

"Because I... I uh..." Silver blushed slightly and looked away, I looked at him.

"Fine, I guess you're right" Silver frowned and went over to Shadow and Mephiles. I followed him sat beside Shadow but not too close to make it obvious.

Silver hugged Mephiles and whined. I stared at them with my mouth wide open and so did Shadow. Then it hit me. "Is that why you brought him here?" I made the stupidest question, since t was obvious by now. He nodded and his face became a bright red color.

I smirked at him and left them alone. I went to the living room to see Amy and Blaze watching TV. I waved at Amy and shook Blaze's hand, for I knew that Amy was a little extreme with relationships.

"Nice to see you back Blaze! You really are something else." I winked at her and smiled. She softly laughed and nodded. "I guess so, I couldn't imagine my life going like this back at home." She scratched her head. Amy patted the space beside her for me to sit. I gladly sat down and talked to them for a while, until I heard the bell ring. I got up and dashed to the door. 

I opened the door to see Rouge and Knuckles standing in front of me. "Hi hun! I came here to see Blaze and Silver and brought Knuckles with me, you don't mind right?" Rouge asked me and pointed at Knuckled with her thumb. I shook my head and opened the door further for them. "Of course not! Come in!" 

They got inside and went to the living room and greeting Blaze with a warm hug. I went to the kitchen and told the guys that Rouge and Knuckles came for a visit. They followed me to the living room.

"Hi guys! It's been so long!" Silver said and hugged them both. I nugged Shadow's arm and made him look at me, he shook his head questionably and I went behing the wall, so that nobody could see us. "What's wrong?" He asked me whispering.

"We can tell them about us now, they are all here." I whispered back. He seemed a litle uneasy, but nodded after seconds of thinking. "Alright." He said and walked in the living room. 

My heart was beating faster than it had ever had and anxiety took over me. I shook my head and built up enough cuurage to finally tell them. 'It's now or never.' I thought.

I stood beside Shadow and cleaned my throat, making everyone look at me. "Uh... I have something to tell you guys." I lowered my ears and awkwardly smiled. I saw Rouge's eyes lit uo and Tails smiling. 

"What is it?" Knuckles folded his arms.

"I-uh... We..." I lost all my words, nothing could come out of my mouth. "We're dating." Shadow broke the ice and looked away with a serious expression. Everyone stayed quiet, until Knuckled began laughing. We all looked at him in shock.

"You're jocking right? No way Sonic and Shadow are gay." He pointed his finger at us. "What do you mean by that?" Rouge asked annoyed. 

"I mean, come on, the 'Ultimate Lifeform' being gay? I'm sure he doesn't even know what love is." He growled at us. I heard Shadow growl back louder, I saw him ready to kill Knuckles, but also hurt.

"He's not a really living creature, he's a machine, even if he did know, gay love is not love, is just a disgusting scene for all of us." With these words my heart broke, how could he think something like that? I saw everyone shoked and hurt at the same time. Tails was ready to cry, but he didn't saw it, he stayed strong.

I couldn't see him like that, so snapped at Knuckles. "The only thing that is disgusting is you! How dare you call Shadow a machine? He is more alive than you! You don't have any idea how wrong you are! GET OUT IF MY HOUSE THIS INSTAND!" I shouted at him with all my energy and opened the door. No way he could hurt my loved ones and get away with it.

He looked at me in disgust and left and shut the door behind him. Tails ran up to me and cried loudly. 

"If that's okay with you, we want some time alone." I said and carried Tails upstairs.
