Arina watched helplessly as Daniella went out of sight. Ducking her head in sorrow she traced her finger in the gravel, drawing scribbles and shapes on the ground as an outlet for the raging thoughts and emotions swirling around in her brain.

She couldn't believe it. It all went so fast... Daniella, of all people, why did it have to be Daniella?

Suddenly something broke her from her thoughts. A soft alluring voice muffled below her, then a gasp. Arina rushed over to the edge of the building, leaning over the side she saw Daniella in a defensive position, staring shocked for a moment, then angrily at a hooded figure in front of her. Arina cupped a hand over her mouth as she recognised her.

"Rose." She muttered quietly to herself.

"Hello again Daniella, did you enjoy meeting my friends? Well, former friends I suppose. You didn't have to kill them all you know." She said in a sour, yet ultimately uncaring tone.

"They started it." Daniella spat back.

"Fair enough," Rose smiled. "Well, it wasn't for nothing I suppose. The blood of a spider that size is highly sought after, I was considering cutting them up myself to be honest... But oh, this seemed like such a better use! Don't you agree?"

Daniella's face twisted into an uncomfortable stare at her rather grotesque form of humour. "Get to the point. Did I pass your stupid test or not?"

Rose grinned, "Patience, patience..."

Daniella crossed her arms again, she seemed to be rather fed up with the situation.

"Almost," Ross replied at last.

Arina longed to leap down and make her presence known, but she knew Daniella would be much less than pleased at that idea, so she resisted. Still, she couldn't help but listen in on them. She found herself staring at Rose, the way she talked and held herself, her cloak, the shadows and darkness that formed so unnaturally around her... Then something caught her eye, a leaf blowing in the wind, sweeping up and down it fluttered past Daniella and right through Rose's ankle.

Arina gasped, she wasn't really there at all! Some kind of trick or illusion was projecting her form onto the shaky scaffolding below her. Arina bit her lip, anxiously debating whether or not to shout down to Daniella, when her inner thoughts were once again cut off.

"There's one last step," Rose began, giving Daniella a wink as she said. "Catch me if you can."

Then she fell, leaning back she dove head first to the ground below! Dissolving into a puff of black smoke as she landed, her fake hologrammed figure ran off into the night towards the cliff!

Without missing a beat Daniella leapt off as well! Arina's heart caught in her throat. Daniella landed safely in a dive roll and ran off after her.

"No, no!" She yelled after her! Looking around frantically at the ladder. Too slow. She took a deep breath and jumped off the roof! Landing on the scaffolding with a thud, she hadn't realized how unstable it was! It tilted and creaked, a high pitched noise rung in her ears as the rusty metal screamed. Until at last the bars broke, bolts and screws unhinged and fell on the floor in a clutter, the ladder wobbled and swayed eventually landing with a loud metallic sound, and finally, the wood paneled floor crashed down in a splintery mess on the ground. Taking Arina with it.

She screamed in pain as she landed rather ungracefully amongst the rubble. She clutched her arm, bruised and bleeding, and with narrow, tired, eyes. She looked out on Daniella, chasing a trap... Slowly fading out of her sight once again. Where was Rose taking her anyway? Then it hit her. Like a ton of bricks, it hit her.

"The cliff." She said in a whisper, voice shaking like the rest of her. She got up, it hurt, a lot. She got up anyway.

"DANIELLA!" She screamed! Racing towards her as fast as she could! Clutching her side, after the fight she had used so much energy, after the argument with Daniella she had let out so much emotion, there was nothing left. Nothing besides the need to keep Daniella safe. Why did she care so much? What was it about her that made Arina so protective? She didn't know, but she didn't care. Right now it was the only thing keeping her from collapsing.

The distance between them got smaller and smaller, by now she was in ear shot. "DANIELLA! WAIT!" She cried.

Daniella looked over her shoulder, something glimmered in her eyes for a moment, something Arina couldn't quite make out. Whatever it was, it faded. Replaced with a dead eyed glare. "STAY OUT OF THIS ARINA." She yelled back flatly.

The grass turned to rock, Arina looked forward to see Rose, or what she wanted them to think was Rose anyway. Sure enough, it was headed right for the edge. And Daniella wasn't stopping!

"SHE'S NOT-!"

"ARINA! SERIOUSLY, JUST GO!" Daniella said, cutting her off. The rocks underneath turned wet, spray from the waterfall below them splashed up. They were so close, she was so close!

"DANIELLA! PLEASE! Y-YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND SHE'S NOT REALLY-! AAHHH-!" Once again cut off, but not by Daniella. Arina screamed as she slipped on the water soaked rocks, losing her footing she toppled over! Falling, falling longer than it would have taken to reach the ground, she realized in a flash, she'd fallen off the edge! Reaching up desperately for something to grab onto, her cold hands scraped against the cliff and clutched onto bit that jutted out slightly. Raking her feet frantically across the side of it but there was nothing to catch her footing, they just hung there helplessly. She looked up, hoping for a way to climb back up but the top was a full foot or two above her with nothing but smooth stone besides her one tiny ledge she gripped onto for dear life! She once again, was trapped. But this time much more severely. Her heart beated out of her chest, hyperventilating, the sound of rushing water was so loud, she wasn't even sure if anyone would hear her screams, but there was nothing else she could do! With effort, and desperation in her voice, she choked out the words!

"D-DANIELLA-! P-PLEASE! HELP!"
