"Suck it." Daniella smirked as the satisfying 'Danniella wins!' Flashed enthuiastically across the screen.

"Whatever..." Arina frowned back in a grimace, Daniella smiled watching Arina cross her arms in a frustrated huff.

"Hey," She chuckled, sliding closer she wound an arm around Arina's shoulder. "Not bad for your first game."

"Really?" Arina looked up at Daniella, eyes widening for a moment but quickly narrowing again as she became aware of her expression.

"Yeah! After a bit of practice you might even be as good as me one day." Daniella continued in a boastful voice, Arina scoffed and looked away, about to walk off but Daniella tightened her grip.

"Au-gh-! Hey!" Arina whined as Daniella grinned and ruffled up her hair. "Might. No promises..." She finished, letting her go Arina scurried a foot away and started fiddling around trying to fix her messied hair.

Daniella giggled and watched, before long getting bored she sat down in the booth, resting her legs up and lounging her arms under her head, she sighed. "How long does it take to fix your hair? Jeez."

"HEY!" Arina spat, shooting her head up to glare at her. "Not everyone has glorious self styling hair like you do." She huffed, blowing a piece of hair out of her eyes.

"True..." Daniella sighed, blissfully running her fingers through dark brown curls.

"Want me to walk you home?"

"I don't want to be a bother..."

"Don't be silly. I'm happy to do it."

Arina gripped Daniella's arm tightly as they walked down the unfamiliar and quite frankly unnerving train station. The dank dirty air of the underground floated around her, filling her senses she scrunched up her nose in disgust.

"How do people do this every day..." She murmured quietly into Daniella's ear.

"You get used to it, beats driving. Humans in un-monitored death machines capable of going whatever speed they desire, might as well strap yourself to the back of a rocket." Daniella shuddered at the thought.

"Woah..." Arina breathed shocked. "I've never understood humans... All their funny ways of doing things." Arina lamented with a giggle, she stared down at what Daniella had taught her were train tracks, it was slightly concerning that there was no barrier between the tracks and the platform, a grim thought entered her mind; nothing was stopping Daniella getting thrown on to the tracks, anyone could run up and push her before she even got a chance to react! Even Arina could, it would be easy being this close. Not that she wanted to of course, obviously! Still, the thought made a sharp stab in her chest.

"Wait," Daniella's voice snapped Arina out of her nightmarish thoughts. She turned to Arina with a curious look on her face. "I thought you've always lived with humans, I mean, you're not human yourself but- Well, I guess I thought you'd be a little more accustomed to their way of doing things..."

"Uh- Oh, well..." Arina found herself frozen, doors in her mind opened, bad ones, doors she likes to keep closed as often as possible. "I-I'm not sure... I just, um-" She fell lost for words, out of the doors spilled feelings, memories long gone, scars she had no recollection of forming, but hurt all the same. Like a movie played with no visuals in a different language, but even a dog can recognise crying, screaming, so angry and hurt...

"A-Ari? Are you okay?" Daniella squeaked softly, seeing a tear roll down Arina's face.

"It doesn't matter." Arina snapped back into a smile, wiping a tear away.
