Daniella took a shaky breath, air pelting against her as she fell over 100 feet towards the water! She watched with baited breath as Arina dissapeared into the ocean below, her screaming stopped as a large splash erupted out from the water. She braced for impact, shutting her eyes tight as a rush of cold surged through her body, all around the sea enveloped her, taking her in. Despite her fear, she couldn't help the corners of her mouth rising into a blissful smile as she entered the water.

Opening her eyes, she was met with blurless sight, her vision was crystal clear. Looking around at the scene before her for just a moment, soft sea soaked sand, seaweed swaying in the tide, blues and greens mingling with the fresh light of dawn shining through the water... No time to feel nostalgic, Daniella thought. Snapping back to her senses she moved her head swiftly from side to side, it didn't take long to find Arina. Her prominently pink outfit stuck out like a sore thumb, she wasn't moving, seemingly unconscious. Her hair floated up and around her face idily as she lay limp, floating in the waves. That heart sink feeling Daniella was getting all too used to by now, started up again.

Reaching her arms out in front about to swim after her, the air in her lungs began to run out. Daniella panicked for a moment! It'd been so long since she'd done this. Trying to remain calm she closed her eyes...

Then took a breath.

Then another, and another, and another, until her breathing slowed to a steady rate. Savouring every moment as the taste of salty seawater lingered in the throat, she tried not to focus on it too much, Arina needed her help!

She kicked off, a trail of tiny bubbles followed her as she reached Arina in a matter of seconds. Clasping her tightly in her arms, she felt cold. Much colder than Daniella. At that thought, she held her tighter. She fell first, she was unconscious, and she was running out of air! Racing through the water as quickly as she could, fighting the tide, at last they reached the shore.

Daniella took a deep breath of water before reaching her head up to the surface, choking a little in the transition she dropped to her knees. Clutching at her chest, she struggled for breath. Fighting through it for Arina's sake, she dragged her quickly out of the water and onto the wet sand. Still working through a coughing fit, Daniella lifted Arina up and carried her further into the mainland, settling on patch of dry sand halfway up the beach, under the cover of a few large rocks sheltering the area. Daniella layed down, head pressed firmly against the ground, sand got all through her hair but that was the least of her worrries right now. Hands planted hard against her chest, she breathed a serious of strong, forced, breaths. Eventually, she began to adjust, coughing out the last of the water in her lungs she found herself able to breathe again.

"Right- yeah- Now I remember. THAT'S why I stopped doing that." She muttered quietly to herself. Bolting upright, she went to check on Arina.

Panicking for a moment as she was still unresponsive, the gentle movement of her chest rising and falling was enough to get Daniella's heart to stop pounding out of her chest.

"Arina?" She called, shaking her a little but she didn't answer. Reaching out awkwardly, Daniella brushed some of the hair away from her face, her eyes were closed. Obviously. But her face looked scarily pale, touching her arm gently Daniella recoiled suddenly, she was still freezing. She took her leather jacket off, shaking it a little to dry it she wrapped it around Arina. Nerves caught in her throat as she looked over her injuries, cuts and bruises all over her body though mostly on her arms and legs. Carefully placing her arms around her so not to agitate them, Daniella picked her up and held her close. Hoping her body heat would be enough to keep her stable.

Daniella's heart skipped a beat as Arina's eyes began to flutter open. Looking up at her with a confused gaze, Daniella jolted suddenly and let go of her.
