Sky's P.O.V.
Havana's sleeping body gently moves with every stop and turn of the car. After being chased out of her home on the same day that her mother died, saying that she was tired was an understatement.
I feel horrible for dragging her into this situation with me. She deserves happiness and all that I give her is agony and despair. To think that I, her mate, make her feel such pain destroys me on the inside and out.
"Stop thinking like that." Her raspy voice fills the car and I smile as she continues, "I love you more than I fear my father. You are mine and I won't lose you to fear." Her eyes never open but she reassuringly grips my hand tighter.
"I love you Havana." Momentarily taking my eyes off the road I see her dazzling smile and can't help the smile that grows on my face.
"You better. Now, leave me alone. I'm tired, love." I dare not say another word and soon she's out again. For two more hours I drive in silence until we pull into a gas station and talk about the rest of our journey.
"So, where exactly are we going?" Santiago questions and I tell him the same as I told the girls. He doesn't bother to argue with me and heads into the gas station paying for our gas. Claire looks broken and hollow so I engulf her in a tight embrace which she responds to quickly.
"You didn't have to come with us but I'm so glad you did. I promise you that I will protect you from whatever and whoever dare attack us, you know that right?"
She nods her head 'yes' before letting go and breaking the hug. Her eyes look softer and she has gained some color back, which is always a good sign.
Santiago walks out of the station with a plethora of chips and snacks for us to munch on while we drive towards our new home. Once we fill the tanks, we immediately are back on the road, ready to reach home.
"Three more hours guys. Keep it up." They all groan but continue to follow me to a place that no one knows about.

Making our final turn, we drive on a gravel road going deeper into the woods. A few seconds later an old gate stops us and I hop out of the car and quickly punch in the code. We have 30 seconds after it opens to get inside.
When we are all finally inside, we drive up the long winding gravel round until we reach the humongous estate. Havana gasps at the side but I continue driving towards my sanctuary. Pulling into the large drive way, I park my car and get out of the car. Havana follows suit but instead immediately heads for the house while the others are still parking and taking in the grand mansion before them.
The walls are still the soft blue my mother chose when I was a child. It's frozen in time and I'm glad that it was never discovered or withered away from negligence.
Everyone stays quite as they follow me inside and, if it's possible, their mouths open wider. The inside opens up larger than it appears outside. It could easily house over a hundred people.
My mother built it as a new pack house for when we expanded but we never got a chance to because she fell ill and my father went into a state of depression, not caring about any of his foreign affairs. Even in her sickness, she made this place our spot and always promised that it was just for the two of us.
Everyone checks out their new home while I'm stuck in the past so I shake myself out of it and show them around. They immediately choose rooms but leave the biggest for me, knowing that it's only fair to Havana and I.
After Santiago's stomach growls, he announces that we need to got shopping which everyone eagerly agrees to. Leaving my car, we all pile into Harry and Santiago's pick-ups and head to town. Still foreign to to their surroundings, I direct them towards a Super Target and promise Claire that tomorrow we will go shopping for some clothes.
We shop for about three hours buying any and everything we wanted and spent over three hundred dollars on food and house materials. Being with us seemed to relax Havana and help her sorrow dissipate, which was fine by me.
It's about midnight when we get home and everybody decides to crash in the living room and are out in an instant.
I can't sleep so I get my laptop and look at graduation dates, realizing that we haven't been to school in over two and half months. Taking it upon myself, I send out several emails to older friends of my mother, asking for their assistance.
Knowing that I won't get an immediate response, I invest some time in our banking and other things that will need to be watched if I wish to take care of all of them. At around three in the morning I decide, finally, to sleep like the rest of my family.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My mental alarm goes off, waking me up at six o'clock on the dot, and continues blaring until I'm unable to return to my dream-filled wonderland. Glancing around the room, I find that my pack mates are still sleep and I envied them. My eyes wander to Havana and a small smile tugs at my lips.
I love everything about this girl.
The way her chest rises and falls, the way she gives off slight moans that drives me insane, the way she clutches onto me even though she's not conscious makes me want her more and more each day. And I love that.
I love that she can do absolutely nothing and leave me wanting all of her all over again the next day. She is my drug and I want to stay addicted to her for the rest of my life.
I'm so engrossed with my thoughts that I barely notice the growing smile slowly forming on her lips. She opens one eye and looks at my longingly.
"I love you too, babe."
Snuggling closer into me, she yawns and slowly drifts away. Not wanting this moment I end, I pant small kisses all over her face, earning playful giggles and pleas for me to stop. Just as I'm about to her peck her lips, the doorbell rings.
Santiago jolts out of his slumber and instinctively gets into a defensive a stance, knocking over his makeshift bed in the process.
Claire angrily walks past him, obviously upset that someone woke her so early, mumbling 'dumb ass' before she reached the door. With death in her eyes, she swings it open and immediately the anger and rage dissipates, transforming into confusion.
Feeling her uncertainty, I walk over to the door and smile at who I see.
"Long time no see, huh?" And she engulfs me in a hug.
