Havana's P.O.V.

She's gone. I'd have to be an idiot to ignoring her blinding rage. I'm not too thrilled about the vampires staying, believe me but they saved my brother from my father. His dad. The man that's completely falling apart because he has no one to support him. No mate. His daughter left with the woman he hates while his son escaped with the thing he hates the most. He's angry but at the wrong person.

My mother died, not because Sky but because the vampires that he was trying so dearly to impress attacked us. Attacked his home and killed her and now he's wasting his time following the very thing that ruined his life. Now he's wasting all of his anger on my mate when it should be directed towards the blood sucker that constructed this whole plot.

Sighing, I raise myself out of bed and walk towards the kitchen. She still hasn't returned yet but I can feel her presence. She's sad but her mind is blocked off, cutting off any chance of me figuring out the cause of her pain. Sighing again, I continue on my way towards the dimly lit kitchen. The clattering of pots and pans echo through the empty hall as the conversation turns from bad to worse. Harry's scent trails out of the kitchen, mixed in it the fresh scent of earth.

"...will find out eventually. You're gonna slip up and when you do, it'll be your ass on the line." A voice, David's I assume, hisses through the night air.

"Look. It's fine. She doesn't have to know. Neither does Havana. They haven't done anything from the time they arrived. They're--"

"Yeah but what if they do? What then? What if they hurt her? Hmm? Then what? ...If you don't tell them, I will."

Resting upon the door frame, arms crossed across my chest, I wait for them to notice me but their conversation seems one more important than my presence. The fight wages on, Harry slowly relenting, agreeing to telling someone. David's darkened eyes glance over Harry's shoulder and in my direction, freezing slightly in the process.

"Well, here's your chance."

Immediately, his body pales as his shoulder and back muscles tense. His fear sweats out of his pores, pooling around him on the floor. My wolfs anger, rising every second, makes staying calm near impossible as he takes his sweet time to acknowledge my presence.

"Please do tell, Harry. You know that I hate secrets. Especially when they involve the safety of my pack."

Finally, his shrunken frame faces mine as his eyes make conversation with the ground. Although shaking, he holds an unnatural confidence in his stance. The rooms grows colder as my eyes take in his seemingly small frame. David paces back and further behind him, angry that he has yet to utter a sound, much less a noise.

"We saw him. Your father. We saw him here." The air growing thick as it enters my lungs, making it near impossible to breathe. "He came here about two days ago, looking for Skylar. When he found me instead, he fled."

"Why have you waited to tell me this?!" I demand. He lowers his head, refusing to look in my direction. Gripping my hair, I try and think of how long he could have possibly been watching? A few days? Since we started living here? Groaning, I walk in his direction, taking his chin in my hand roughly and forcing him to look at me.

"What else did you see? And don't you dare lie to me." I seethe out between gritted teeth.

"There's been an increase in rouge activity as well. But listen they--"

"Who else knows?!" Sky's angry voice booms from behind me and the whole room freezes. Turning, I stare into her blazing eyes as she stalks towards Santiago and I. Her two little followers trail closely behind her, mimicking her every move. By the time she reaches us her canines are extended as her wolf fights her for dominance. A dark shadow casts over her eyes as she looks down on us, pure anger glistening in her brilliant eyes.

"I won't ask again. Who knows." Her words come out in uneven breaths, pure anger dripping from her mouth like venom. Harry's pale complexion is now transparent. His eyes, colorless, shakily rest on my mate. The fear of looking away keeps them focused on her.

"...everyone." He whispers, looking as if it were acid leaving his mouth. Sky's eyes glaze over, morphing into a fine mixture of rage and betrayal as an earth shattering growl erupts from her chest. Not even seconds later, the whole house is in the kitchen, except those on patrol, all staring fearfully at Sky.

Her eyes dart around the overfilled room, slowly filling with disgust as she looks at every face that has lied to her. Taking a step in her direction, she takes one back as she looks at me like I'm another face. Another liar. Pain rips through my body as her cold eyes run over me, empty of any emotion other than rage.

"So, you all thought it would be a great idea to keep him away from me?" She roars, backing closer towards the two girls and farther away from me. Angry tears pool down my face as I take another step in her direction, praying that she listen.

"I didn't know, baby. Listen to me." I beg as her eyes soften, still burning furiously. Just as she begins relaxing, a wolf howls off in the distance, begging for assistance. Before I can stop her, She darts out of the patio doors and rushes towards Santiago's sad cry for help.

Following suit, I shift immediately and follow the dying scent of my mate. Demanding that we go faster, I push my wolf until we are barely back on her trail. Bursting through a bush, I find her cradling a body in her arms, surrounded by other wounded pack members. Her pain slams into me immediately as my wolf whimpers. I slowly trot over to my grief stricken mate.

His scent is all over this area. My stomach crawls at the thought of my father doing this.

Once Behind her, my wolf lets out an involuntary whimper. There, resting on Skylar's lap, is Santiago's upper body. Blood slowly pours out of him, it's thickness impossible to ignore. There is no saving him. Santiago's bloody body shakes violently in my mates arms as she speaks to him, trying earnestly to gain his attention. Trying so desperately to get it off of the pain the riddles his body.

"I-I'm s-sorry."He coughs out, blood slowly spilling from his mouth.

"Hey, buddy. It's okay. You did amazing. They're all gone now. You did it." Sky coos, smiling as her tears rushed from her eyes. Her hand clenches around him, begging that he stay alive. His peaceful eyes drift to their conjoined hands as he smiles.

"Hey, now, don't cry. You.. You've saved me so many times. I-I'm just glad to have saved you this one time." He smiles as his eyes being to loose their vibrant green shine. His breathing hollows out and his grip on my mates hand loosens. Smiling sadly, Sky places a small kiss on his forehead with a tenderness of a sister with her brother. The pain that dances behind her eyes broke my heart, yet she refused to break down fully. Gently placing his body down, she brings to search for his lower half. A few more pack members have arrived, helping the other wounded wolves back home. None of them utter a sound as Sky continues her search for Santiago.

Once he's placed together again, she says a prayer, begging the wolf goddess to be gentle with his kind soul. The wind blows hurriedly around us as the sky's above began to thunder, as if to cry for Santiago.

"This is what happened when we have secrets. This! Is the outcome of you all being neglectful. We just lost a brother because you all and keeping fucking secrets!" She shouts as angry tears prick at her eyes. "Go get Harry and bring him to my office. The rest of you, I guess I've been to easy on you all. Too kind. Tomorrow, everything changes."

Nothing else is heard except for the paddling of paws and feet heading back home.
