Sky's P.O.V.
As I walk out of the door, I feel my pack's uneasiness follow me. I know they smell David's scent, it's impossible to miss, but they aren't sure who it belongs to. The closer we get to the door, the tenser their bodies become, ready to attack on the spot. Stopping and spinning in their direction, I turn all my attention to my stiff bodied pack.

"Calm down, we'll be alright." I announce hastily with a small smile before I turn again, continuing my way towards the pack of rogues that await me. By the time we reach the door, every ounce of uneasiness and doubt that my pack shouldered is gone, making me proud. The musty scent of the rouges outside my door made me nauseous, not because it was their permanent stench but because I could smell every emotion they were feeling. Fear, anger, sadness, hatred all mixed in one, forming a horrific scent.

Peyton advances before me, understanding my hesitation, and opens the door, allowing their scents to attack our noses properly. There before us stood roughly fifty lost and wondering wolves, staring at us with the same uncertainty as we did them. Emerging from the group, David advances in my direction but is stopped ten feet away from me by Santiago.

"That's close enough." Santiago declares, making it clear that not even an army of a thousand can move him. Quickly picking up on his determination, David takes a few steps back before making eye contact with me and smiling. Before he can say anything, I'm walking towards him despite the whimpers of my pack. Placing a hand on Santiago's shoulder, I smile, letting him know that I am okay and that we have to give the pack in front of us a chance. After a bit of thinking, he moves aside but lingers behind me, just in case.

"You've got them pretty well trained, huh?" David says awkwardly while tapping his left foot and scratching the back of his head. Beside me, Santiago gives a threatening growl, followed by Kota.

"Well, they aren't dogs that needed trainging, they're just loyal." He gives a small chuckle before fixing his stance, giving him a little bit of a confidence boost.

"I didn't mean to offend." He addresses them more than myself. "Let's try this again. Hi. I'm David Ethan Santiago and this pack behind me, along with myself, would like to join your pack." There's a little uncertainty behind his words and I'm not sure if it's because he fears that we'll deny him or his words just aren't accurate for the whole pack. Havana must have sensed this too because right after his little introduction is over, she's by my side, examining the diverse lot before us. I can feel the stares people are giving her so I wrap my arm around her waist, growling at the disrespectful people before me.

"It's okay hun."

She says without taking her eyes off of the pack. Tugging on my hand, she drags me along with her passing David and stopping just before the crowd. The younger and some of the older look upon her with fear while others are too proud to show any hint of anything. Some wear tattered clothing and look as if they hadn't eaten in months while others look as if they could take on the world if they wanted. A small frown plays upon my features as realization hits me. They had to fight to survive, not just the world but each other and those that couldn't fight didn't make it or barely got along. Just by a glance, I could tell who actually wanted a part of this pack and who wanted dominance and the continuation of this crazy system.

"David, I thought that your pack was civilized and trust worthy." Despite the grunts of disproval, my eyes never leave the pack in front of me.

"W-what do you mean? This is a fine pack of str-" Holding my hand up, I cut off his rant and gesture towards two children in front of me, both maybe thirteen. The one on my right was barely clothed and his eyes no longer held any sign of a living soul while the one left of me was fully clothed but still held the lifeless look in his eyes.

"This is strong and healthy to you? They're desensitized for fucks sake!" I nearly shout as I turn in his direction. "What the hell kind of a system did you have set up or is it just a free for all?" Crossing my arms across my chest, I wait impatiently for him to give an answer instead of stand there like a lump on a log.

"What was I supposed to do? Some don't listen an-"

"So you just let them do whatever?" This time he doesn't answer so I just turn my back on him, giving the silent pack my attention. Havana seems to have taken a liking to a group of young girls, all too small and too weak to properly defend themselves. I smile at her caring nature before addressing everyone else.

"Whoever actually wants change, please come behind me!" I shout and wait as bodies shuffle pass me and to my surprise, some of the healthier lot walk behind me, clearly not happy with how things were previously run. Fifteen people stood I front of me, obviously appalled by the thought of changing.

"You all can leave." I say, staring at them emotionlessly. A few of them growl from anger and hold their ground while the smart ones retreat with their lives.

"Who do you think you are, telling us what to do? You might have gotten Da-" Before he can finish, Kota's fist connects with his jaw, sending him to the ground hard. The men and women around her are shocked, to say the least. They couldn't even pick up her scent until she was right in front of them. This seemed to have kick started the logical parts I their brains.

"She said leave."

This time they listened and and left without having to hear from me.

"Alright. Training will start tomorrow, is that understood?" Harry announces and they all nod their heads in understanding. "Great. Now let's get some rest eh?"
Peyton has already retreated into the house, setting up any defence system necessary. We still aren't sure if we can trust the lot before us, so it was the safest way to attack things.

They all funnel into the house, leaving their old lives behind them.
