Havana's P.O.V.

I watch as my mate, my Skylar, ruthlessly destroys the people before her, all because they weren't going as hard as she expected them to. My feet are cinder blocks, cemented in place by awe and fear. Fear, not of my mate, but for her.

The anger that has a firm grip on her causes her to do this, not her own will. It has taken complete control and when it has subsided she will hate herself. She will hate herself because the people that love her will fear her; outcast her.

She will hate herself because she was too weak to stop her rampage and be constantly reminded that she, their pack member, is a monster.

"Sky.." I whisper as she crushes Lance's collar bone without flinching from his heart wrenching sobs and pleas. I continue whispering her name, praying that by chance she hears me and stops but her rampage never dies down.

The anger now has complete control over her, disconnecting her from herself and I'm watching as my mate attacks these kids. These crying kids and I can't bring myself to save them.

Time has stopped. The fighting that was going on around me has stopped, the children playful screams have stopped, the children who are fighting an unfair battle have stopped. They have given up and yet she continues.

"I GIVE!" He shouts and I'm truly afraid that she won't listen but she does. Santiago and Barron quickly rush to her, trading places and entering into the arena in her place.

Small specs of blood that rained down on her now stain her clothes and she reeks of blood and sweat. I watch her as she takes in her surrounds and freezes under everyone's hard glare. Her eyes grow wide and for once, since she stepped foot in that arena, she is finally conscious of what she's done.

Before she can run, I have her in my embrace, trying my hardest to quell the violent shakes that ripple off of her body.

"You're okay." I whisper softly in her ear but despite my efforts she continuously calls herself an abomination. Kota has already called everyone off and taken control while Sky slowly breaks before me.

"..nster. I'm a monster. I promised her I wouldn't hurt anyone." I don't asks who "she" is as I repeatedly assure her that she isn't that at all.

Her head falls into the crook of my neck as her hands wrap around my waist, holding on for dear life as she cries. All her pain, anger, regret, and anguish washes over me and I know that I'm only feeling a fraction of what she's going through.

Why hadn't I stopped her? I had a chance to save her the pain and yet I watched from the sidelines as she taught all of them to fear her. It's my fault..

Her hands clench the back of my shirt as her crying subsides and she forces herself away from me, looking right into me.

"Don't you ever blame yourself, okay?" Her eyes are red from the crying and all I can't think of is how gorgeous she is when she cries. Wiping away a silent tear, I cup her cheek as I gaze into her unforgettable eyes.

"Stop destroying yourself." Her sad eyes make my heart crumble but I refuse to break when she needs me the most.

"Let's go for a walk. Clear your head, you know?" I offer, slightly pulling away from our embrace. Our hands interlock and she leads me deeper into the woods, constantly looking back at me to make sure I was okay.

"Barron and the guys are running the perimeter. Don't worry, hun. We'll be fi--"

Skylar dives towards me, sending us backwards, just as a wolf pounces from behind a brush. Quickly, he lowers it's ears and body, showing he means no harm, but Skylar's rage bubbles again and I know that even the idiotic rouge--

"How the hell did you get back in here?" My voice more curious than concerned.

Sky's body shields mine, periodically releasing threatening growls at the mutt. Looking past her body, I see a wolfy grin upon the mutts face and I swear, I swear, he's laughing at us but why? Sky's body stiffens before mine and I can feel her anger spiking. Resting my hand on her lower back, she momentarily looks back at me with her soft eyes until the stupid mutt moves.

Snapping her head back in his direction, she barks "You have two seconds to shift back."

Even though he was a daring idiot, he shifted back knowing that she wouldn't let him free a second time. His naked body stood before us, boasting about what the had to offer. My scoff and Skylar's warning growl scares him back into reality, where he quickly dashes behind a tree and covers himself.

"Babe. Go back. Make sure everything's okay. I'll take care of the mutt." My eyes bore into the back of her head, completely shocked by her "command".

"I'm staying with you." I say firmly, taking my hand away from her lower back and resting it on my now cocked hip.

"You're going back. I'm not arguing with you. Now go!" Whimpering from her tone I turn around and storm off, leaving her alone with damn mutt.

"Yeah. Some mate you are." I grumble and from her whine, I know she heard.
