Never
Boruto
I made my way to a small village nearby. I entered a store and tried to get everything I needed as soon as possible. I couldn't help but notice the weird stares I was getting. It is extremely warm out, and here I am in a dark, long coat.
I was making my way up to pay, when I heard familiar voices. I listened closely, and almost gasped when I realized who it was. "Papa, why are we here again."
"I sensed an weird vibe coming from in here." I started to panic. Sarada and Sasuke were both here. I can't get caught. Not after how far I've came.
I quickly handed my money over to the lady, who looked at me with fear in her eyes. I realised then that my hood had fallen a bit and revealed my face. "Shit." I cured to myself, grabbing the stuff quickly.
I pulled my hood down and made my way toward the exit, but I was stopped. I clenched my jaw when I noticed the man in front of me. "Papa, what is it." I heard Sarada say, coming closer to us.
I learned how to hide my chakra, which is another reason I was never caught. But from this close, someone could detect it. And from the looks of it, Sasuke did.
"Take off your hood." I didn't know what to do from here. I could easy use my power to get away, but I don't want to hurt them. I'm still not sure how much power I've gained, and I don't want to test it on them.
I then smiled. I realized now something I could do. It would get me caught, but not for long. I'm already a criminal anyway, what more could I do. I pulled my hood down slowly, just enough to see half my face, but not my scar or hair.
"B-Boruto!?" I saw her try to get close to me, but was stopped by Sasuke's arm. "Papa, why are you stopping me." I was surprised she could tell who I was. Even Sasuke was surprised a bit when she said it.
"He's a rogue ninja. We still have to take precautions."
"He's right Sarada, you don't know the things I could do." In order to get put of this situation, I needed to play the part. "What will you guys do now, take me back to my stupid old man." Sarada was shocked by the words I was saying, which meant it was working.
I realized that in order to remain a rogue ninja, I have to start acting like one. I can't let my feelings get in the way of my goal. That would make me weak, and I can't be weak.
Seeing them after all this time, almost made me crack. I have to contain myself, and get out of here as soon as possible. "Boruto, this isn't like you. Just come back with us and we'll talk this all out."
I laughed. "Don't you get it, Sarada. I'm a criminal. If I go back, I'll get thrown into jail anyways. I also wouldn't want to go back." I got myself ready to teleport myself.
I didn't do it sooner, since it takes time to prepare. Also, I wanted to make it clear to them that I wont be coming back anytime soon. I quickly did the signs, and got out of there. I ended up at a lake about a mile away from where I was.
I ran back to my hideout, not stopping for even a second. If I didn't get back fast, Sasuke would find me. Of all people I could have seen, it had to be them. Not only did they kind of see how I look now, but my chakra would need to be hidden again.
I would have to wait more time to go out now, unless I'm more careful. I put the food I got on the self, as well as the other supplies. I decided to try and only go out in the late afternoon, when there's not that many people.
A trained for a couple more hours to try and learn about my eye. After that I went to the waterfall to bathe, and then went to bed.

I was trying to finish up all the work I had piled up. My mind has been so distracted since Boruto left. I feel as if I failed as a parent, which I probably did. Hinata is more quiet now, she usually is, but now it's with me too.
I looked up from my work when Sasuke rushed inside my office. "I have a lead on Boruto. Sarada and I were going to a small village. When I sensed a strange chakra coming from a store. I entered and saw a guy in a long black coat. I asked him to talk it off, and it was Boruto. I didn't see his whole face, but enough to give a description."
I sighed of relief to know that he was okay, but I was also angry that he wasn't able to be brought back. Sasuke gave me the description, and I sent it out all over the place.
This time, for sure I would find him.

Boruto
A week had lasted since the last incident. I didn't want to go out, in fear of recognition. I predicted that a description was given of me, and sent all around. It was making me more angry than I already am. I told them that I didn't want to go back, that I want to be alone. But no one listens.
Tomorrow is my sixteenth birthday. That was the original date I set to return, but now things have changed. I'm not nearly as far as I wanted to be, by this time period. My eye is still a mystery to me, and I need to know more about it.
I didn't have any books on it, but more the library would. A different village near by has one. It would be a risk to go, but I need the book. If my eye is the key to my true strength, then I have to do everything I can to master it.
I decided to dress more normally the next day. If I try to disguise myself, I only attract more attention. I put on a less longer coat and a scarf to hide half my face. It was cold out anyway, so it wouldn't be questioned.
I quickly walked to the village. It was small so there wasn't many people. I'm hoping to not run into anyone else. With my description going around, it makes it harder for me to do stuff.
I made it to the library and got inside. I went up to the man running the front desk. "Do you have any books on special eyes? Like the sharigan and the byakugan."
The man looked at me weirdly, but then lead me toward the back. He pointed to a shelf at the very end. I thanked him, and made my way over there. There wasn't much, but what I have should be enough.
After deciding which to get, I went to the checkout. "You seem interested in this." The man said while ringing up the books.
"Yeah." I replied, not knowing how else to.
"It's been a whole since I saw someone buy books like these. People just forgot about the stories with them." He sighed and put the books into a bag. I then thought of something.
"Do you know anything about the byakugan?" After I asked him that, his face lite up a bit.
"I know all about it, the Hygua clan." He seems really fascinated about the topic. He lead me to a table where he continued. "They are a really powerful clan. Amazing at taigustu."
"One memory about a Hyuga I have was during the chunin exams, far back. His opponent was actually the seventh hokage." My attention raised when he mentioned my father. "That boy sure was powerful. Even though only being from the branch family, he mastered moves from the main branch."
"His byakugan was strong for a person his age. The match seemed to have been over when he stopped the seventh's chakra flow, but the seventh gained chakra. What that was an experience I'll never forget." I felt like I've heard this before, but I'm not sure.
"Who was his opponent?" I asked.
He looked up at me, and smiled. "Neji Hyuga."
