I'm dating Charlie, I think I speak for all of us when I say we're tired of Krista and her bad attitude! We're at practice.
"Before we begin practice ladies, I have a couple announcements" Charlie says
The squad was standing around her. I was standing next to Charlie. She's about to make a bold decision by telling the squad.
"Number one: I'm dating our mascot"
I was in mascot uniform
"Your input girls?" I ask
"You girls were meant for each other!" They girls say except Krista
We look at Krista who is about to say something.
"We'd love to hear what you think Krista" we all say
"Well..." she starts
"I'd think about your words carefully if I were you" the squad says
"Well, we need to win the game tonight and I think your relationship isn't in the cards right now" Krista says rudely
"Charlie, you said that you had another announcement?" I ask
"Yes" she says "last one..."
She stared at Krista in a serious gaze
"Krista, I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say this" Charlie clears her throat
Everyone stared at Charlie then at Krista
"We're tired of your negativity and I am afraid that I have no choice but to kick you off the squad" she continued
"Is this some type of joke?" Krista asks
"No" Charlie says "you're off the team"
"You'll only have seven girls left on the squad if you drop me"
"We thought you'd say that" she says
"Abby!" I call
She came in the locker room shaking
"Give me a second"
I walk over to Abby frowning
"Did he hurt you again?"
"Yes" Abby says "he hit me again"
"Charlie, can Abby and I talk to you about something?"
"Yeah"
Abby froze time.
"Abby, this is our head cheerleader" I say "in order to be on the squad you have to tell her or I can if you want"
"Why don't you, my energy is too low"
"Charlie, Abby's been bullied and beaten"
Charlie looked angry
"By who?" She asks "where'd they hurt you?"
Abby took off her jacket showing her arms (still glowing).
"I have many, many more" she says
"This squad protects one another" Charlie says "I won't allow someone to hurt our mascots sister, cheerleader or not"
"What's the plan Charlie?" I ask
Abby could barely look at us the pain to her is excruciating, something we will never know about.
"Well, first things first you have to tell your parents."
"They already know" Abby sighs
Abby put her jacket back on and unfroze time
"What's wrong Charlie?" Kaitlin asks "you look like you've just seen a ghost!"
"I'm fine" she says "let's practice"
