I woke up today, it's been a little over a week since my wife had my eggs placed onto hers. I got out of bed stretching my legs smiling at how I can finally walk again.
I was curious to where she'd gone so I went into the bathroom and see that my wife is passed out at the bowl of the toilet. I go over to the toilet flushing her vomit remains.
"Ok we need to get some purified water in you" I sigh "and possibly something that won't make you sick"
"Huh?" Kaitlin says
"Oh good, I was wondering when you were going to wake up" I smile
"Abby, I can't believe I'm about to say this but I can't eat" she starts to gag
She ran into the bathroom covering her mouth and nose
I made us vegetarian burritos!
"Great my kid or kids are gonna be meat eaters!" I sigh
Half our family is split between carnivore and herbivores. I went to school to be a teacher while in my chair, I am just lucky that I get to graduate tomorrow!
"I better hide you" I say "you'll be my lunch!"
I walk in the bathroom and see Kaitlin now brushing her teeth.
"Hey Abby"
"Mmm-hmm" I smirk
"What was that about?" She asks
"Girl, I want you to look at me when I say this ok?"
"Ok?"
She turned towards me with hands on her hips.
"I don't want you to apply for a job quite yet, I don't want you to because I don't want you or our baby hurt"
"Ok" she says "then what's the plan?"
"Don't get to excited, but I graduate tomorrow"
"Um, what're you talking about?"
"I graduate tomorrow, I can prove it"
"Ok"
I called Jess
On the phone
I put it on speaker, I smiled
"Hey Jess, can you please tell Kaitlin who is graduating tomorrow?" I ask
"Kaitlin, she's graduating tomorrow"
"Ok?" Kaitlin asks "what job?"
"Teacher" I say "Jess?"
"Jessica?"
"Kaitlin, she's telling the truth"
"Jess, we're going to let you go" I say
"Ok, bye"
Off the phone
I hung up with her and looked at my wife smiling
"I thought of everything"
"Really?"
"Yeah, when you go into labor I'll get a sub, if our baby needs their mama, I'll always be here for them"
"You're gonna be a great mom, Abby"
"You are too Kaitlin"
We kissed.
