Chapter Twenty Six

Part 2

Gerard slides on his oversized knitted sweater as Bert grabs Gerard's thick blanket, considering they'll be out there all night, and temperatures drop at night. Grabbing a few others, the two leave the house, heading to the lake together, Gerard excited.

"I don't personally know many of the few guys they invited tonight, but they wouldn't invite them if they weren't cool so" Bert says as they get closer to the lake they'll be hanging at.

"It's okay, I like meeting new people" Gerard smiles, loving to meet others, making friends, especially considering he doesn't have very many.

Getting there, they see they've already got everything set up, Quinn and Dan chasing each other around, playing, then see Jeph's talking with 2 guys they've not met, must be the guys they invited tonight.

"They've finally arrived!" Jeph sarcastically cheers as they walk up, as they took longer than expected to get changed and grab supplies.

"Bert and Gerard, right? I'm gonna take a guess and say this hot one right here's Bert?" One smiles, seeming sweet, but too flirty for Gerard's liking.

"That's correct, and this hot one right here has a boyfriend, we're gonna go set the blankets out" Gerard says, taking Bert's hand, leading him away from them where he hears Jeph start laughing at his jealousy.

Bert chuckles placing a kiss on Gerard's forehead as they walk away, "So much for liking to meet other people, hm?"

"I do, but not people who flirt with you. Now I see why you get so mad when other guys flirt with me" Gerard says, looking back at the guy, giving him a glare as he's watching Bert.

They lay out the blanket for everyone to lay on later, Gerard holding Bert's hand to remind that guy he's not available, only making Bert laugh at the twink.

"You're cute when you're jealous" Bert says, wrapping his arm around the red head, placing a gentle kiss on his temple, making Gerard smile.

Gerard wraps his arms around his hips leaned into him, resting his head on him, giving the guy a look as Bert runs his hand through Gerards hair.

"Think you could hug any tighter?" Dan chuckles walking over from fucking around with Quinn, seeing they've arrived, and seeing Gerard's hugged at Bert's side.

"I mean I could if I tried hard enough" Gerard says making them all laugh but Gerard lets go of Bert's hips, so he doesn't annoy him, wanting him to be able to drink and enjoy himself tonight.

Gerard and Quinn begin playing around, throwing sand at each other, enjoying the little bit of sun while it's still out, enjoying themselves.

Gerard glances over, crossing his arms when he sees that guy and Bert sat on the blanket talking, making Quinn pause seeing Gerard's stares.

"You're not very good with jealousy, are you" Quinn chuckles seeing the look Gerard's giving the guy, 'James', seeing as Gerard's obviously extremely angry with it.

Gerard just shrugs it off and him and Quinn go back to playing around, having the time of their lives until they burn out all their energy.

"Hey beautiful" Bert says when Gerard sits down next to him, wrapping an arm around the beauty he's lucky enough to call his, the temperature beginning to drop.
