Bert smiles as his mom is becoming more talkative, obviously feeling better as the days have gone by. The doctor let them go home, seeing as she's making a full recovery. She's still in pain, but not nearly as bad as she was before.
Bert hasn't been able to see or talk to Gerard since he went home, he hasn't answered his texts, his calls, nothing. It's worrying the hell out of him. He knows Bryan's not an awful guy, he's just strict, but what if he's going to keep Gerard isolated? Not let them see each other? All because of Bert.
"We're gonna go check on him, okay?" Jenna says sitting up, knowing he's been thinking about Gerard. She knows how in love he is, she was that way with Bert's father. They were so in love, at such a young age, and they were jusg about Gerard and Bert's age.
Bert looks at her, confused on where that come from. "I know that look. I know you're worried about him, I am too. So come on, let's go"
No argument from Bert is given, hurrying up and grabbing his jacket. "I miss him" Bert says as they walk out of the house and Jenna chuckles softly, Bert's undeniable love for Gerard shining right through him, his eyes lighting up, getting so hopeful when he talks about him.
Getting to their front door, Jenna knocks. Donna brought flowers by, she didn't seem angry with Jenna of course, but Bert either. She even hugged Bert when she'd arrived and before she left. So maybe it's just Bryan who's angry. Or maybe it's Gerard himself?..
"Jenna! It's so nice to see you up and around!" Donna smiles after the front door opens. Donna invited her and Bert into the warm home from the cold weather outside, where Bert sees Bryan on the couch. Gerard not in sight.
Bryan stands seeing them and walks into the kitchen making Donna softly chuckle, "Don't mind him, he's in a bad mood sweetheart"
"Bert, if you want to go check on Gerard?" Donna asks rubbing Bert's arm as Bert stares at the staircase
Hoping he'll come downstairs, dying to see him. Gerard's all Bert has thought about in the past several days. The thought of what Gerard may be going through emotionally, is absolutely killing Bert.Bert goes upstairs to where he knows Gerard's room is. Knocking softly, not wanting to intrude if he's dressing or anything, though they're boyfriends. Bert being especially careful due to the situation Gerard's in.
"O-One second!" Gerard calls through the door and Bert hears sniffling. Hearing his footsteps roaming the room before he calls out again, "Come in!"
Bert walks in, seeing Gerard at his mirror using make-up remover wipes to wipe off his wet cheeks covered with running mascara from his eyes in a hurry. Bert's heart sinks, not knowing what to even say. Bert did this, forced him to come out when he was no where near ready.
When Gerard realizes it's not Donna or Bryan, instead it's Bert, he pauses, just looking at him for a moment. Bert's afraid he's angry with him for what he did. Bert couldn't blame him, it wasn't fair or him to force Gerard out. Though he didn't mean too.
But instead of being angry, Gerard just walks over hugging him. Bert hugs him tightly resting his face in his soft red hair, feeling so guilty. "How's your mom?" Gerard whispers into Bert.
"Are you okay?" Bert ignores Gerard's question, needing to know how he is. Bert's been so worried about him these past few days. No contact after the worst weekend in the hospital together. Not knowing if the person he loves most is okay, if he's mad at him, or sad.
