Gerard plays with Bert's hair as he sleep, exhausted after crying and panicking so much, Gerard staying up in case the doctor comes back. Gerard just thinking about everything going on at the moment.

Gerard feels so bad, seeing how broken Bert is at just the thought or possibility of loosing his mother, it's heart broken, but sweet. Bert's such a mama's boy, which is the absolute sweetest thing.

As Gerard glances up, he spots the doctor come out and walk towards the boys, seeing them in the chairs. Gerard doesn't want to wake him, he's finally calm enough to rest.

"His mother's out of surgery and fine. We have to wait for the swelling in her brain to go down to see if it caused any nerve damage, you guys can go sit with her if you'd like" The doctor says.

"Wake up baby, I've got good news" Gerard whispers, rubbing his back. Bert lifts his head from Gerard's neck tiredly.

"My mom, i-is she okay?" Bert asks, obviously too tired to comprehend that he said good news, making Gerard smile, softly kissing his lips, over excited to tell him that she's okay.

"She's out of surgery, you can go see her now" Gerard smiles and Bert hurries up and they're lead, along with Donna and Bryan, to her recovery room.

Bert rushes to her bedside and holds his mothers unconscious hand, her head wrapped up in wrap from the surgery. I.V placed into her arm.

"Come on Gerard, lets give them time. We've got a lot to talk about" Bryan says sternly, making Gerard tesne, afraid to go home considering they know him and Bert are dating.

Bert turns around looking at Gerard who's gone pale, obviously in fear, making Bert feel guilty for forcing Gerard to come out when he wasn't ready, it all setting in now.

"Let him stay, please, I really need him right now" Bert begs, guilt tripping them, but honestly really needing him, and worried about him going home to talk about them dating.

"Come on, we can wait until tomorrow" Donna whispers to Bryan, to help them out and the two of them leave, Gerard letting out a sigh of relief that they're gone for now.

"I'm really sorry that I forced you to come out" Bert says, feeling awful as he was so worried about his mom and himself, he didn't even pay that a thought. He didn't pay Gerard's situation a thought until now.

Gerard shakes his head, stressed. Not at Bert, just with his parents, but that's not what matters right now, "No baby, don't worry about it"

Gerard sits next to Bert letting him cuddle into his side, needing the comfort right how, feeling bad with the Bryan situation, and worried that Gerard's not okay with having to comfort him, Gerard usually being to smaller one.

"Just rest, I'll wake you if there's any more news" Gerard whispers, covering him and Bert up with the extra blanket folded at the end of Jenna's hospital bed. The room being extremely cold.

"What about you? You need to sleep or you'll go into an epileptic episode" Bert worries, exhausted but would rather Gerard get to sleep rather than himself.

"Don't worry about me, just get some sleep, you've had a rough day" Gerard says, exhausted but it's more important for Bert to sleep, to pass the agonizing time of waiting.

Bert rests his face in Gerard's neck as he covers Bert up more, placing a gentle kiss on head, wanting him to be as comfortable as possible to get some sleep after the day he had. Bert too exhausted and sensitive to argue.

Gerard knows how much his mother means to him, especially after loosing his father. He's such a mama's boy, Gerard's never seen someone so attached to a parent, but then again Gerard never had one most of his life.

Bert takes such good care of his mother, he'd do anything for her, she's his world. Gerard loves that part of him, but it also worries him for the day she's going to pass, hopefully decades from now. But the fear of how he'll handle when she eventually does.

Gerard just tries his hardest to keep his exhausted self awake as Bert gets some sleep rested in him, keeping him covered up as the hospital is freezing.

Hours have passed. Bert's still asleep in his arms, Gerard tries as hard as he can to keep awake, so tired. It's probably around 3-4 am now. He hasn't slept in so long. His eyes burning, body acheing.

"Mm" Gerard hears Jenna hum, seeing her head roll to the side with her eyes closed. Her eyes squeezing before opening, revealing her soft hazel eyes through her thick eyelashes.

Gerard's about to wake Bert up, until he's shushed, "Shh, no, let him sleep"

"How are you feeling?" Gerard asks holding her hand, lightly rubbing the top with his thumb, worried about her considering her incident and condition.

"What happened?" She hums tiredly, keeping ahold of his hand, squeezing at the uncomfortable feeling of pressure in her head. The drugs running through her vein, the freezing air of the hospital.

"You fell off a ladder at work, had some bleeding in your brain, but you're going to be okay" Gerard says. Through his sleep, Bert processes that he hears voices, waking him automatically.

Opening his eyes, he immediately sits up when he sees his mom is away, "Are you okay? How are you feeling mama?"

Jenna softly chuckles at him bombarding her with questions, though it results in a small and weak cough, "I'm okay baby"

Gerard moves to the side, Bert taking his place and taking her hand, holding it tightly. So thankful that she's okay, that he still has the most important woman in his life.

"I love you so so much, don't scare me like that again" Bert whispers against her hand, holding it with both his tattooed ones, so thankful God spared her. Thankful he has his mother.

"I love you too, you've been crying? Baby I wouldn't leave you, you can't get rid of me that easily" Jenna softly smiles, making Bert laugh shaking his head at his mother's charm.

Jenna nods over Bert's shoulder and he turns around, seeing Gerard's passed out in the corner "Has he not slept?"

"No, he's been up all night, he let me sleep" Bert says feeling guilty and covers Gerard up, letting him get some sleep, worried he'll go through an Episode because he stayed up.

"Take him home, he needs to rest" Jenna says weakly, looking at the frail red head passed out into the corner of the well sized, cushioned couch.

Bert sighs, that remdining him that he'd forced Gerard to come out though he wasn't ready. The guilt sinking in now that he's calm, it becoming a realization of what he's done to Gerard.

"I think home is the last place he wants to go right now.."
