Gerard sits curled up in the sofa in-front of his window with a blanket as he talks with Bert over the phone, who's at his window too.
"Why aren't you out with the others? They said they were going to a party" Gerard asks since Dan asked Gerard if he wanted to come too.
"I wanted to stay and talk to you tonight, I knew you probably wouldn't be able to go out" Bert says.
"You didn't have to stay because of me, Bert" Gerard says chuckling softly, feeling bad that he stayed because Gerard wouldn't go.
"I wanted too, I'd rather rest and talk with you than be at a party and have a 3 day hangover" Bert says, making Gerard laugh.
"So how come you never get out? I know Bryan is strict, but even when they're gone you stay home" Bert asks.
"I um, I deal with a medical issue, I can't really do much due to it, but that doesn't matter" Gerard says, clearing his throat.
But Bert questions before Gerard can change the subject, "What medical issue?"
"Epilepsy" Gerard says and watches Bert sit up, looking at him.
"Epilepsy? Gerard why didn't you tell me this before? They were pushing you to drink, I would have stopped them" Bert says.
"It's not something I like to talk about, it's embarrassing" Gerard says, fiddling with his fingers, hating that he knows now.
"No it's not, all I know is it causes seizures, right?" Bert asks, seeming genuinely interested and concerned.
"Yeah, and a lot more. But lets not talk about that, if you don't mind" Gerard says, his medical issues being a main insecurity for him.
"Of course" Bert says, seeing as Gerard really doesn't want to talk about it, so changing the subject.
The two talk and talk for hours, talking about all sorts of different things, laughing, enjoying themselves.
Until Bert doesn't get a response, making him look closer at Gerard who's curled up into his blanket, who's fallen asleep.
Bert chuckles hanging up the phone, just sitting there reading, keeping an eye on Gerard who's asleep, just making sure he's okay.
Bert's shocked that Gerard's only now mentioned having such a serious medical issue through the 2 weeks they've been friends.
That's why Gerard didn't want to drink while they were hanging out, in which Bert feels really guilty for.
But he plans to keep an eye on him, in case anything happens. Though Gerard may not want to talk about it, Bert's going to check up on him about it everyone once in a while.

Gerard smiles as he glances out the window seeing Bert helping his mother load more of their things into their home.
He walks outside and out the gate to next door, "Hi sweetheart" Jenna smiles seeing him.
"Do you guys need any help?" Gerard offers, feeling bad if he doesn't help them considering how late it is, how cold it is out.
"That'd be amazing, we're just trying to get the last bit of boxes from the Uhaul" Jenna smiles.
"Mom I told you, go inside, I got this-" Bert says walking back out, pausing when he sees Gerard here.
Bert nods to his mom, "Go inside mom, take a break, you've been un-packing all day"
Jenna obliges, going inside and Bert looks to Gerard, "You don't have to help us Gerard, it's not like you're in debt to us or something"
"Shut up and let someone do something nice for you for once" Gerard chuckles nudging his arm, making Bert laugh softly.
The two of them begin carrying in boxes as they talk, finishing their conversation from last night.
"Yeah, you passed out" Bert tells him as Gerard doesn't remember when he ended up falling asleep.
"I was so confused when I woke up on the sofa, why my back hurts" Gerard chuckles as they get the last few boxes in.
"Why don't you stay for dinner honey?" Jenna suggests seeing the time, in return for him helping.
"I would love too, but I have some arons to run" Gerard says sighing softly, wishing he could stay.
"It's already almost 8, where are you going?" Bert questions, concerned on where Gerard keeps going.
Jenna hits Bert's arm, "Bert, the boy has a life outside of his neighbors. Do your parents know where you're going?"
"Yeah, they know" Gerard nods and she thanks him one last time.
Gerard flashes a soft smile before leaving, walking down the sidewalk by himself, sighing at what he's about to walk into.
