Oh, I know love
Trust me I do
I can always read your heart
Whenever I'm with you
Sometimes people get confused
About how you love
Sometimes even you don't understand
What you're capable of
Love is love
You love your sister
You love your wife
You are a lover
Trapped in this world
Full of empathy
I'm sorry you
Feel everything so deeply
You direct your love towards everyone
And it's all the same
There's so many emotions
You can't pinpoint a main
Your heart holds so much
That your mind doesn't know
Your thoughts can't comprehend
As you receive the blows
You may treat people differently
On your own accord
But deep down the love is the same
Love until the morgue
Because it is the one true emotion
That is felt by all towards so many
Everything else is depleted
Emptying from your body
I know how this works
I've fallen in love before
Left with broken heartstrings
Wishing for more
Love isn't what you'd expect
You love your family and friends
Even if it hurts too much
And makes you want it to end
It consumes all of your other feelings
Anger, sadness, happiness
Tearing apart my life
Piece by piece I miss
I have seen more lipstick stained necks
Then friendship bracelets
And more diamond jewelry gifts
Than birthday cards
Love isn't lust
There is no sin
It's so pure
If you let it win
*****
I loved so deeply, but you let me go.
