Like the sky you are constantly beautiful
Even when it's overcast
You tell me your hopes for the future
And your pain of the past
I can't help but smile when I see you
Eyes twinkling with delight
You stop and talk for a while
And I think I might
Admit all of this soon
That your mind is such a pretty mess
And your heart is so sweet
I couldn't think of you as any less
You rule the skies
And make me want to float away
I wish I could hold your hand
And cuddle every day
But you must go
And sit on your throne
But that's okay
I'll wait at home
I get so nervous when I see you
My words get all flustered
My hands get all sweaty
And I honestly can't muster
The words that I wish to say
Like how you're the smartest person I know
And if anyone disagreed
I would take the blows
You are worth it all to me
Our fingers brush so often
You save me every day
And my feelings soften
You scream that you're useless
When you can't sleep
I'm sorry I can't stay up
When you're feelings are so deep
You say no one likes you
But that's not true
And even if it was
Wouldn't me liking you be enough?
So I will sit here
And remind you every day
That I've fallen in love with the most perfect person I know
And when you speak of your flaws I will say
"Oh darling,
Didn't you know?
You give me butterflies
And make my heart glow"
