If we're damned
And doomed to die
Then why can't people see
What we all hold inside
How am I supposed to teach you
That you should care about other people
How am I supposed to teach you
That women and men and everyone in between is equal because we are all people
How am I supposed to teach you
That all of the people in the world who bring you down don't know what they're talking about
I'm not a teacher
I'm not a leader
I'm just a girl with too many dreams
A lost reader
Who has learned about everything
And nothing at all
While you sit there and do nothing
And watch the world fall
I will rip your throne out from under you
And laugh
I will steal the crown on your head
I'm done holding back
If I released everything at once
I would bring fear
Intimidation and justice
To everyone near
Because I deserve to see the world
And I deserve to live
So why should you stop me
When all I do is give
I give my fire
To my beliefs
I give my love
To my friends and family
I give my time
To things that matter
And since you don't
I can do better
I walk through hell everyday
And wave to the demons I pass
I don't put up with jerks
Or those being an ass
I think we all just need to see ourselves
For who we really are
No more making darkened wishes
On dead stars
