It wasn't just Caspian who Elincia wanted to talk to. After finding Caspian, she and him grabbed all of their companions and traveled to the bedroom they shared. Now they sat around the room. Erica and Derek were lounging on a divan... well, Erica lounged while Derek sat by her feet. Tiffania was seated in Erica's lap. Cassidy was sitting next to Christo on the floor. Sylvia was standing next to the window that gave them a view of Fas Sheras, while Madison and Collafloore sat next to Cassidy and Christo.
Elincia frowned when she noticed they were missing someone. "Does anyone know where Dranor is?"
Everyone looked at each other as though asking the others if they'd seen the cynical elf, but none of them had any clue as to where he had gone.
"I have not seen much of Dranor since we arrived here," Maddison admitted. "I think he spent most of his time inside of his room, but he wasn't there when Caspian and me went to check in on him."
"Maybe he got bored and left?" Erica suggested. "There's nothing tying him down to this kingdom. For all we know, he could have even been kicked out. He had been banished previously."
Neither Elincia nor Caspian liked that idea, but it wasn't like they could do anything about it, especially if it was true. Besides, there were matters they needed to discuss with everyone.
"Well... either way, I have something important I want to talk to you all about," Elincia said, coughing into her hand several times. "Lady Erica, during the attack, you fought against an elf with white hair and blue skin, right?"
"That is correct." Erica placed her hands on Tiffania's hair and rubbed it, causing the half-elf to smile in bliss. "She was a very strange-looking elf. Her magic was also different from what I know of elves. She controlled the shadows and made them attack us. Honestly, were it not because I had quickly realized that shadows main weakness was light, we would have probably been done for."
Elincia nodded several times. "That person you fought is called a dark elf. I don't know much about them, but according to Mother and Father, the dark elves are the sworn enemies of the elves."
"That sounds serious," Christo said.
"Thank you for stating the obvious, Christo," Caspian said.
"Heh heh. You're welcome!"
"I was being sarcastic!"
"Do you know anything more about these dark elves?" Sylvia asked as Caspian and Christo traded banter. The two quieted down upon hearing this question, however, and looked at Elincia once again.
"I'm afraid not," Elincia said. "I only know what I just told you."
"Then I think we should gather more information," Maddison said, standing up. "Let's talk to your parents again and see if they can shed more light on these dark elves."
No one disagreed with her suggestion. Leaving the bedroom, Elincia, Caspian, and the others quickly found a passing attendant and asked if they knew where the king and queen were. It turned out they were in a private meeting with Valen and several other members of Fas Sheras' outstanding forces. Getting directions from the attendant, the group soon found themselves standing outside of a room blocked by a pair of guards.
While they didn't let the others through, Elincia was allowed to knock on the door. She stepped back a moment later and waited next to Caspian. The door soon opened and Lenismare peered out from the other side.
"Elincia." She smiled before noticing the others. Her expression became a little confused as she tilted her head. "Do you need something? I assume you are here because you wish to speak with us."
