After Jason Blossom's death, the Lodge twins appear at Riverdale. With one taking a particular interest in Cheryl Blossom but of course there are thorns along the way.

Apparently appearing with food for everyone still didn't distract them from his disappearance. In fact, it furthered their questioning. It seemed that the only one not questioning him was Polly who sipped on her milkshake.
"Come on Mateo where were you?" Veronica bugged him as he ignored Betty and Veronica.
"Nowhere. Besides I don't bug you when you disappear to who knows where with Barbie." Sighing he relaxed against the couch before feeling a shove.
"You usually find out later anyways" She groaned as Betty stared at Mateo. A small glance at his lips and the rushing memory of the kiss that had taken place filled her mind. The thought instantly turned to Jughead and she quickly averted her eyes while Polly stared at the three.
"Then you'll find out later. I don't know why you're so interested in me exploring Riverdale. Isn't it enough I brought you food?" A huff escaped Veronica as she rolled her eyes.
"Fine. Come on Betty" She stormed off with Betty, before closing her door.
"You were with her, weren't you?" Polly's voice broke the silence as he glanced at her.
"How did you-" Mateo met her blue eyes as she smiled. While her gaze was on him, it was obvious her head was elsewhere.
"You're not the first to date a Blossom" She sighed, a sad smile on her lips as she held her stomach. One of her last connections to the boy who had laid his life with hers.
"I-we're not dating" A small glance at him showed his face heating up as he looked everywhere but her face.
"Just be patient with her. Jason loved her dearly but he's gone now. You're the only one she has left" She simply stated before getting up and retreating to his bedroom, leaving him on his makeshift bed.

"Get up Mateo! We need to start setting this whole place up" Veronica shouted before surveying the place. Her eyes scouring the place and devising where to place decorations.
The raven haired boy getting up disoriented and glanced around to find Betty smiling at him.
"Hey Barbie" He yawned as he stretched out. His hair was sprawled and sticking up as he stood up from the couch.
"Ronnie, a simple wake up would have been nicer. Did you have breakfast already?" He turned to face her as she paced the room.
"Yeah, there's still some food left. Should've gotten up sooner" A smirk was on her face as she saw him roll his eyes.
"Right, maybe next time you can take the couch", shooting her a fake smile over his shoulder, he trudged into her bathroom. With giving up his room, came giving up his bathroom and now he had to share the bathroom his sister had filled to the brim with products.
