Fresh Start (Mir MBLAQ~)

"If this is one of your jokes, I don't find it funny." She simply exclaimed completely aware how Mir liked to fool around.

"I am not kidding right now. It was all a dare. I know I shouldn't have even accepted it but then... my pride was at stake. I know what I did was, is wrong. And I really didn't want this to happen." Mir looked at her with sadness filled in his eyes, almost like a sincere confession.

"So all this while you were just... just... *Clears throat* trying to complete your dare?" She asked trying to blink away her already forming tears.

"I am sorry __________. I was a fool to even accept it, I do regret it right now. I wish all this never happened."  Mir said with his head hung low.

"So all those time when we hung out together, all the jokes we shared, all the hugs, those late night calls and sweet gestures were just part of the dare?" She asked with a sad tone and fist clenched.

"No!" He protests while his head shoots up. "All that was sincere. I meant every word when I said that I really like hanging out with you. I really did like you, just never in that sort. I already like someone else. I know it's unforgivable for what I have done even if I apologize a million times." He tried his best never to hurt her, but in the end that is what happened anyway.

"You are right. What you did is unforgivable. *Wipes the single tear that rolled down her cheek* And to think that I almost had my first kiss with you...." She said with the last words in total whispers.

"I am sorry __________, I tried my best to not let this happen. I really am." And with this he got up and left the cafe leaving her alone there crying.

FLASHBACK>>>

"Hey, I am Mir and you are ___________, right?" Mir excitedly walks over to her extending his hand.

She just stared at him with a weird look on her face. Suddenly Mir grabs her empty hand and shakes it vigorously. She fakes a smile at this now foolish kid shaking her hand with all his strength. 

"Yeah, I am. What's the matter?" She asked hesitantly. "Nothing, I just saw you walking alone so I thought to introduce myself, we do go to the same school you know!" He frowns.

"Yeah, but why are you even talking to me?" She tries to look behind when Mir grabs her by the shoulder and drags her along the hallway so that she couldn't see his friends standing there with amused looks on their faces.

Somewhere near the corridor his friends were keeping a watch on them.

"You think he will be able to complete this dare?" G.O asked.

"If I know him well, I am pretty sure that guy has got some game. Now all we have to do is wait and see what happens." Joon exclaims.

"Are you sure this is right? I mean aren't we going a little overboard? It might end up with her getting hurt." Thunder was doubtful about all this.

"Don't worry, I am sure she won't get this serious so soon. And it is just for a month, Mir won't probably be able to even complete it by then." Seungho assures Thunder.

"Hmmmm. I hope so." He smiles.

Mir and _________ were walking towards the classroom. "Hey now that we are friends, you want to catch up on some coffee after school? If you are free that is." Mir boldly asked.

"Ummm.. S-Sure. I guess. Yea why not." ________ nods.

"Great, so it's a date." He states and walks off. "It's a what?" Too late for her to ask to him when she sees him disappear around the corner.

For a month ________ and Mir seemed inseparable. They always texted each other the first thing in the morning and they were always the one to end up sleeping while talking to each other over phone. Mir would buy her an orchid every other day and she would always get an extra lunchbox for him to share with.

They had the best time of their lives walking around town, fooling around, teasing each other, holding hands and always ending their 'dates' with hugs. But never a kiss.Mir knew that he did not want to cross the line with her. Though it did not matter to him and he guessed that kissing would be a big deal for her.

But after the month ended, so did their 'relationship'. With both of them getting hurt, but one more hurt than the other. Mir never thought of her as more than a friend. Sure, there were times when his heart would race when they held hands, but there already was someone he was in love with. He knew that this was a real deal for __________.

He did not even want to imagine how hurt she would be if she found out the truth. But he also knew that he couldn't lie anymore. He believed that she had all the right to know the truth. And it ended with how he had imagined.

AFTER THE REVELATION>>>

____________ walked in the school all aware of a group of guys staring at her intently. They were quite shocked to see her puffy face and almost red eyes. They exchanged sympathetic looks with each other because they knew what they did was completely wrong. But they had not imagined that it would become so serious.

During class her eyes never left the floor. She didn't even dare to look up. All her friends were worried about her because they knew how much she had come to like Mir.

After school she walked in the nearby cafe to get some coffee when her eyes landed on Mir holding hands with another girl.

She stood there frozen by the door, unable to move or even breathe. All her feelings rushed in. She knew she should have never fallen for him. For real, he never called her his girlfriend and never had asked her out properly. All they ever did was hangout but never really defined their relationship.

"Excuse me miss?" Someone tapped on ___________'s shoulder. She looked at the person with confusion. "Can you move aside? I need to get in." The person asked her politely. She didn't even realise that was holding on to the door all this while, blocking the entrance.

"Oh, I am so sorry." She bowed as she moved aside. Mir looked at her from distance. They stared at each other for what seemed like years and he watched her walk away silently dragging herself with all her might.

"I am so sorry __________" Mir thought.
