- How can I be when you are the one who is saying it? -

"We don't have to do this over a silly mistake."

"Are you not going to speak to me? Really?"
- Nothing's left to speak or to listen -

_________ and Hyunsik stood facing each other in the middle of his apartment corridor.

"Everyone deserves a second chance. I do too and I am not going to forgo it."
- Are you asking for a second chance or demanding it? -

"Come on _______, you will have to speak to me at some point. Let's try t..."
"Let's never see each other again." ________ spoke for the first time.

Hyunsik was left standing there unable to process what was going on.

"No." Hyunsik

"No?" _______

"No." Hyunsik

"What do you mean no? You do realise that you are not in the position to oppose my decision right?" ________ speaks sternly.

"I know but.. But.. This.. I.. NO!" Hyunsik frustratingly states.

"I am not going to stand here and argue with you about my decision. I came here just to let you know. I maybe timid but I am not a coward. So now, I am leaving." ________ declares and turns to leave just to be blocked by Hyunsik.

Hyunsik shakes his head not willing to let it go as he stands firmly in-front of _______ with his arms raised blocking her way. They make eye contact and remain in the same position for about a minute, neither of them breaking the silence.

"I can do this all night. I can do this all night if I can stop you from leaving." Hyunsik expresses his desire.

"See. This is exactly why we can never have a proper conversation where we both are on the same page. You lied to me and then you denied lying to me for weeks until I came up with an evidence to prove my accusation right." ______ speaks her mind, standing her ground.

"You don't... Please believe me when I say this, it was just a mistake. I had momentarily lost my sanity, any ability to make a proper decision. Don't punish me by leaving me. I am willing to do anything you ask me to do." Hyunsik begs.

"You lost that credibility when I gave you several chances to come clean." ______
- I am not letting myself get tricked again. Just because I trusted you more than myself, I am not letting you walk all over me like the other times -

"I just.." Hyunsik sighs in frustration.
- You deceived me too many times to trust you again Hyunsik -

Hyunsik drops his hands in surrender, making a way for ______.

"I trusted you." ______ says clasping her hand with his. Hyunsik looks up to meet her tear filled eyes before she finally leaves from that place.

As _______ walks away, Hyunsik follows, "I am going to hold on to you forever." Hyunsik states that makes _______ stop in her tracks though she doesn't turn to look at him.

"I am going to do whatever it takes to win you back." Hyunsik and with that she walks away from him.

Weeks pass by, _______ still feels strong deception. A millions calls to her phone, a thousand texts sent yet _______ remains firm on her decision.

Finally _______ gives up and replies to his text to listen to him one final time. The moment they stand in front of each other no one musters up the courage to speak. Both were too afraid of the other person's resolution.

Hyunsik walks towards her first, reluctant to touch her. ______ remains still with a straight face. When he finally clasps her hand within his he breaks into tears.

"I was wrong all along. I am sorry, so deeply sorry. You were right, you gave me so many chances but I didn't do anything. I was apologetic but never put it in words. I was foolish to think that I could hold on you after doing what I did. I deserve all the punishment you want to give me. But please, don't..." Hyunsik chokes while continuing.

He looks up at her with tear stained cheeks when she caresses his face with her free hand. She wipes the tears but speaks nothing.

Hyunsik shakes his head already aware of what was to follow.

_______ seems to be on the verge of breaking down herself, trying to retain her composure.

"I promise you I will be better. I will do better. I won't give you any reason to be disappointed. I will do as you say and be a better person. This won't happen ever again. But please, just please don't leave me." Hyunsik begs breaking in tears again.

"I know how pathetic I must look but it doesn't matter anymore to me if it means to win you back. Above everything I want to win your trust and respect back.."

"Shut up." ______ interjects.

"You think by asserting all this, it is going to change everything? You broke my trust and I don't believe in your loyalty anymore. I don't think I can do this. I am sorry that I can't be a bigger person to forgive you after what has happened." ______ speaks wailing.

She pries her hand out of his grasp and walks backwards still facing him. A final tear escapes before she turns and leaves.

Both souls left broken hearted unable to hold on to each other.
