「 chapter 32 」
_______________

"Never anything in here besides you?" My voice is just above a whisper, mocking what Enid said to me barely a minute ago. Neither of us dare to move, how ever I feel her eyes on me.
"There never is, it's probably just wind,"

I exhale with frustration, "Enid, you can't be serious right now! We aren't alone!" I snap at her, whispering this time to avoid yelling, I can't believe she's being like this.

She sighs, "Ellie, calm the fuck down, it's fine. Let's go check it out, my comics are up there anyway."
I watch her slowly head towards the stair case.

My face drops, "No! We need to get out of here right now, why the fuck would you want to go see what's up there? It's obviously something that wants to eat us!" I shake my head at her, why is she being so dumb? Acting this way in this kind of situation will just get you killed.

"Come on, it's all a part of the fun, right?" She rolls her eyes at me, waiting at the bottom of the dusty stairs. I blink at her.
"Wrong." I reply bluntly, she ignores me and proceeds up the stairs slowly, every part of my body was screaming at me to stop her. We're going to die in this stupid house.

"Enid, don't, Enid!" I whisper a plead, going after her as quickly and as quietly as I can across the creaky floor boards.

She doesn't bother waiting for me, she's either really dumb or knows I'll go after her.

I head up the stairs cautiously even though my gut was telling me not to, I keep an ear out for anything, knife ready in hand, Enid gets to the top and looks down at me, she waits this time for me to catch up.

"This is stupid, but what room?" I whisper once I'm next to her. I didn't want to be here, I didn't want to be going up this staircase and I definitely didn't want to be searching for the room Enid told me about, but I still ended up here anyway. I'm just hoping we can do this quickly and get out of here, I know I can't convince her to leave right now.

She points at a shut door by the end of the hallway. I groan quietly, great.

"Don't worry!" She whispers to me with an insisting tone, then proceeds down the dark hallway slowly.
I hesitate, but start following her, I haven't heard anything since we got upstairs, I wasn't sure if I wanted to. "Let's just get this over with." I grumble.

I exhale nervously, peeking in each room as we go past them, they mostly looked the same. Trashed, dusty, holes in the roof with vines and branches squeezing their way through, let's not forget about the amount of cobwebs in this place either, if infected doesn't eat us I'm sure a spider will.

Enid gets to the door, puts a hand on it and slowly creeps it open, glancing back at me as it creaks, I hold my eyes shut for a second, a terrible feeling swelling in my stomach.
We should have got out of here when I said to.
