"We've arrived" Phil called. "Can I have a word with you Fernald" Captain Widdershins requested. "Okay" Fernald replied. "Fiona, you and Phil can go prepare for arrival and get to land level. "Aye, Fernald I know you have rejoined the right side of the schism but I need you to prove that your loyalties will never waver again" he started. "I understand why you don't trust me step-father but I swear I will never question my loyalties ever again. I am forever loyal to our family" he replied. "I hope my trust in you is right, Aye" Captain Widdershins responded.
The two male Widdershins ran to the door to see if they had risen to land level yet. "Hey guys" Phil said when they reached the control room. "By the way what happened to the Queequeg" Captain Widdershins asked. "We helped the Baudelaire's escape in it and we don't know where it is now" Fiona said. "Well once we make the world quiet we will find it" he replied.
"We're at ground level" Fiona said. "Let's all get to the deck" she continued. The four companions sprinted to the deck as it opened onto a beach. "Ah Briny Beach" Captain Widdershins thought out loud. "I've always loved arriving on this beach to enter the City. The last safe place is near here, follow me" he said.
The group walked along the seaside. They came across a road near a bakery. Captain Widdershins looked around and made sure that nobody was watching. It was the dead of night so nobody was there. "Let's rest at this bakery for the night" Phil suggested. "We are really close" Captain Widdershins replied. "Okay" Phil replied. "Follow me" Captain Widdershins said leading them into an underground tunnel.
It is my solemn duty to tell you that the three Widdershins and the happy optimist would have met up with the Baudelaire's if they had taken the suggestion of Phil and stayed at the bakery overnight. They also would have met a familiar face of V.F.D in the bakery. A formidable volunteer named Sally Sebald.
