Once the four companions got into the taxi, Hector paid the taxi driver with a 5 dollar bill he found in the Anxious Clown. This left him with $100 until they got into The City. "Are you sure you want to go to the house on the edge of the cliff" the taxi driver asked. "Yes" Duncan responded, politely. "Cause nobody has lived there since Josephine and those orphans she adopted, and she died a terrible death. Apparently she was murdered by Count Olaf" the taxi driver explained.
"How do you know that" Isadora asked, sounding shocked. "I was at the trial in the hotel where the fire happened and the Baudelaire's and Count Olaf sailed down a boat off the roof". The four companions looked at each other in awe and knew that they needed to get more information out of this taxi driver. "Where are the Baudelaire's nowadays" Quigley asked, casually. "Well they went missing with Count Olaf after the boat fell off the roof. They can't be dead because no bodies were found nearby. Anyways how did you guys not no that". "We were travelling in the sky" Isadora said quickly.
The rest of the drive was pretty silent until the group arrived at the house on the edge of the cliff. Once they arrived Duncan remembered something and quickly asked the taxi driver "The Baudelaire's aren't still considered criminals". "No of course not, they were cleared a few days after going missing after the key evidence provided by a mysterious man named Lem- I mean Mckinley Stone" the taxi driver said. "Anyway you guys seem like you care for the Baudelaire's" the taxi driver said. "We used to be friends" Quigley said quickly.
The taxi driver said goodbye and quickly left the four passengers on the edge of a cliff ready to explore a deserted house. Meanwhile the taxi driver was driving away from the house thinking about the close call he had in revealing the identity of the man who had freed the innocent Baudelaire's of a life on the run for a crime they didn't commit. He had promised to be back to pick up the four passengers and wondered if they were enemies or friends of the people in his secret organization. He like many others had joined during that trial although like many others was just part to keep the dying organization alive after learning it's noble goal. He also remembered the words of that man telling him that a taxi is a noble things and should be used to perform noble deeds. He knew he must bring the code book he was gifted to check if the passengers he had just driven were of V.F.D.

FanfictionMy opinion on what happens after the events of "The End". This is based mostly on the Netflix series so it may not be very accurate to the books.
