"Can we talk?" Demi's voice came out calmly.

"About?" I asked, boredom taking over the features on my face.

"The conversation you just had with Madison."

"Fine." I said harshly, my eyes narrowing over at her.

"What makes you think Maddie is my favorite? I don't have favoritism."

I rolled my eyes at Demi. Of course she has favoritism, it's completely obvious. Maddie is her favorite out of the entire family, even someone without a brain would be able to figure that one out.

        "Yes, you do Demi."

        "No, I don't Dani."

        "Yes."

        "No."

        "Yes."

        "No."

        "You do."

        "I don't."

        "You do.

        "I don't."

"I guess whatever helps you sleep at night." I shrugged my shoulders before crossing my arms over my chest.

"Seriously, Dan, what makes you think that Maddie's my favorite?" If I answered this question, I'd end up talking forever. I could write a book on all the reasons how Maddie is Demi's favorite.

"I just do." Instead I kept it at a simple answer. I didn't feel like arguing with her anyways.

"I just do isn't a good enough answer, Dani."

"You know what Demi, I really don't feel like arguing with you. If I give you a 'good enough' answer, you'll deny everything and continue bugging me. You won't shut up about it after I tell you. I know you Demi."

"I will not deny everything. I want to know why you think that, because it's not true."

"If you deny one thing, I will actually drag you out of my room."

        "Whatever."

"Let me ask you this Demi, how many times have I ever gone on stage with you to sing at one of your concerts?"

"Lots of times." She said as if she was stating the obvious.

"Zero times, Demi. Not once have I been able to experience what it feels like to be in the spotlight for one second. I've never once stepped out onto a stage that is full of thousands of people ever in my life. Maddie has done that more times than any tweleve year old has done. You brought her on stage with you when she was like, five? You both sang 'This Is Me' together while I stood backstage and watched. And then you continued bringing her on stage for the next few years. And this isn't the only thing, you've talked about her in interviews a shit amount of times that I can't even keep up with. You've stated a million times that the whole reason you're alive was because of Maddie. You said that you kept a photo of her with you while you were in rehab and she was the person that was keeping you going. She saved your life Demi, and that's why she's your favorite."

"I said before, I just want to be the rolemodel for her that I never got when I was her age."

"Hmmm--- Did it ever cross your mind that I'm also your younger sister and that maybe I need a rolemodel out there as well? Did you ever think that maybe I might be dealing with a lot, but you're too busy to give a shit?"
