"Miss me?" His voice was different. It was no longer a soft, sweet tone that you could listen to all day. It was now a voice that sent chills down your spine. You wanted to get away from the sound of his voice. You didn't want to hear it.

"Miss you?" I repeated, staring at him dead in the eyes. My tone was cold and I let myself stare at him while his eyes stared deeply into mine. It wasn't one of those stares that he used to give me. It was full of hatred, but as well was mine.

"Why in the world would I miss you?" I let out a chuckle, shaking my head to myself.

A smirk crept onto his face as he leaned against the door frame of my front door.

"Why are you here?" I sighed, exchanging my weight onto my other foot. A sign that I used when I was growing impatient.

"I just want to warn you not to come back to school. It's about to get ugly."

I rolled my eyes. "Tell me how it could get any worse."

"That's for me to know and for you to figure out. By the way, you're "friend", Fernanda, isn't even a friend. Trust me, babe, don't trust her. She's just being nice to you to get to your sister."

I cringed at his use of the word babe. "We aren't friends." I shook my head, letting out a chuckle. "You don't think I already know that? Make yourself useful and tell me something I don't already know."

"You and Fernanda? Aren't friends? Huh, that's weird. Because she states you are."

"It's obvious she's just being nice to me so she could just get closer with me. Getting closer with me means getting closer with Demi. You know how it works."

"Speaking of your sister, my little sister would love to meet her."

I rolled my eyes. Of course she did.

But hold on. Connor, my ex-boyfriend and I are having a normal conversation.

"Yeah? Well guess what? You better tell your sister to get some money and come down to a show and get meet and greet, because that's the only way she's gonna get to meet her." I didn't mean to be so snappy. But I want nothing to do with Connor or his family, even if they had nothing to do with me.

"She's ten, Dani. Where in the world is a ten year old going to get money? She can't get a job."

"Oh come on, there's lots of ways. If you loved her enough, you'd help and pay for her to meet her. The kid probably gets $100 every Christmas from their relatives. She can use that. Oh and there's another option, Mommy and Daddy can help and pay. You stated you're rich, remember?"

"Ouch," He shook his head. "What's up with you lately?"

"What's up with me? Me?" I chuckled and shook my head at the brown haired boy. "Did you really just question what's been wrong with me?"

He looked at me like I just said the most obvious thing ever.

"What's up with you? What are you up to, Connor? What are you doing? I know you're up to something and I'd really appreciate if you told me."

"What the fuck makes you think I'm up to something, Dani? All I'm doing is coming to your house and telling you to be careful."

"It's pretty ironic how you know what's exactly going to happen the second I show up at school. It's also really weird how you always seem to be around when something happens to me at school. Who was the one that blew my secret to Demi? You. What was the reason we broke up? You and your stupidity. And the fact that you said "that's for me to know and for you to figure out", you obviously know something. You're up to something, I know it."
