"Grayson!" A low squeal slips out of my lips once I feel his arms wrap around my waist. He tosses my small body up, allowing me to fall deeper into the ocean. I land under the water, immediately floating up to catch some air. He places his hand over his stomach, throwing his head back in fits of laughter.

"What? It was funny." He says through his loud laughs.

"Yeah, hilarious." I roll my eyes and swim closer to him. I practically jump onto his body, dunking his head under the salt water. I begin to laugh once I pull him up, giving him air.

"I love the ocean, so do it all you want." He smirks as he places his hand on my lower back. He pulls me toward him, making me cling to his body.

"Maybe I will." I go to place my hands on top of his head, but a large wave is coming right toward us.

"Incoming." Grayson laughs while pressing his chest to mine. Before I can process anything, he dunks both of our bodies under the cold yet refreshing water. I wrap my legs around his torso as he uses his feet to push us back up. My hands are wrapped around his neck, making us closer than ever.

"That was a big one." I laugh while catching my breath.

"The waves are pretty rough today, are you sure you can handle it?" He teases with a smile.

"Of course I can, plus I'm connected to you." I laugh and look down at our bodies.

"True, I can protect you from the current." He bends his knees while keeping his grip on my lower back.

"This is the perfect beach day." I mutter while glancing back at the shore.

"Everyday is the perfect beach day." He corrects me. I feel his hands move from my back to my hips.

I look at him and smirk. "You can't keep your hands off me."

"I could say the same for you." He refers to my arms draped around his neck.

"Maybe I'm just scared of the waves." I say sarcastically.

"Oh, please. You aren't scared of anything." He rolls his eyes.

"You're right, I'm not." I nod my head with a laugh.

"You've proven that you're a badass. Most women wouldn't stand up to a pervert like Asher, a lot of them are afraid of him." He disappointingly shakes his head.

"I'm not like most women." I look down at him connected to me. "He's disgusting, I don't want him to touch me ever again."

"And he won't, because if he does I'll do more than just kick his ass." He sternly says.

"Aw, you're so protective. How adorable." I say in a high pitched voice.

His cheeks flush as he pulls me ever closer to him. I feel the pointer and middle finger of his right hand rub small circles on my hip bone. The action sends chills down my spine.

"That's not how you treat a lady." He lowly whispers.

My breathing slows down as I stare into his eyes. "Do you want to know something ironic? I've known you for two weeks and you have treated me better than half of my ex boyfriends."

"They're ex boyfriends for a reason. If they lost you, then clearly something is wrong with them." He presses his forehead against mine.

I inhale a breath and close my eyes, letting my body relax into his. His hand lets go of my hips, making its way to my face. He brushes a strand of my wet hair away from my forehead. I open my eyes back up and stare down at his lips. He moves his head up, leaning into my face more.
