I had already woken up and we all decided to go have breakfast then go set up some things at the arena. After we ate what they had downstairs, we all got in the van and drove to the large stadium.
There were a lot of seats. I can already see the out of ticket signs hung up at the lobby. They must be pretty popular. The boys were tuning their instruments and setting up microphones.
The crew was working the lights and sounds for the show tomorrow while the girls and I went downtown to Harlem to go shopping. It was all very expensive but we had enough for a few items of clothing.
We went to some shoe stores since Dominque needed new shoes for the photo shoot next week. Mary and I shopped at a jewelry store across from where Veronica and Dom were at.
The store was very fancy and well decorated. I found a few different pairs of earrings that I wanted but couldn't decide on which ones I wanted more.
I hope up my choices to Mary. "Which one do you like better?" She pulls a puzzled face and looks up at the ceiling to think.
"I like the gold hoops. They would match the dress you brought." She replies pointing to the medium sized hoops. I look at them for the 100 time and hold them up to my ear in the small mirror.
"Yeah I think your right." I reply giving the other pair to the jeweler.
We purchase our earrings then go and meet up with the others at a nice diner down the street. We grab a small bite then head back to the stadium to bring food back for our hard workers.
"We brought food!" Veronica announces as a small crowd or head perk up to the sound of food. They stumble over each other to the front doors where we held the bags of their lunches.
"Brian this is yours. A nice kale salad." I say planting a kiss on his sweaty face.
"Freddie darling. I brought you sandwich with tomatoes, turkey, and Swiss cheese." Mary says reading the receipt and giving him a small kiss.
"John I bought you a small bowl of pasta. I thought you'd like it." V holds out the bag.
"Thanks my love." He replies giving her a kiss.
"Roger, I got you like five things. I didn't know which you'd like better since your super picky." She holds out five bags for him to receive. He takes them and looks through all of them.
"You could have just gotten me a sandwich y'know." He replies looking through the different meals.
"I could have. But you don't like ham, or wheat, or turkey, or tomatoes, spinach, any cheese unless it's cheddar, or mayo." She replies while taking her heels off her sore feet. I decide to take mine of too since mine were also super sore from walking around.
"Your exaggerating! I only don't like wheat, spinach, ham, or tomatoes." He protests back at her.
The air was getting a bit tensed so the rest of us went back onto the stage to eat. Rog and Dom continue to argue in the back of the stadium as the boys ate and talked with us.
"Are you guys done setting up?" I ask breaking the silence. Freddie holds up a finger indicating that he needs to swallow.
"Well, all we need is like background checks then we'll be ready for tomorrow." He replies taking another bite out of his sandwich. Roger begins to stomp towards us, his face flushed with anger. Dom follows behind him with his arms crossed.
"Izzy! Do you mind if you and I go back to the hotel early?" Dom asks, her arms still crossed and her face still full of heat.
Not wanting to get yelled at or blamed for anything I agree and we head to the limo where the chauffeur drove us to the hotel. We go into my room where she immediately falls onto the bed...crying.
I sit next to her and rub her back. I shush her a bit to calm her down.
"Roger and I..have ..never ..gotten into a fight..like this." She cries into the pillow in between sniffs.
"It's alright Dominque. It was a rather silly fight, don't you think?" I say making her look up and smile a bit with smudged makeup all over her face.
*sniff* "yeah I suppose it was." She chuckles, wiping her tears from her face. I pull her into a tight hug. For some reason, Dom and I are closer than anyone else in our little friend group. I don't know why but our minds just think alike and we always know how to cheer each other up.
Just then, the phone begins to ring, causing me to break the bond and go and answer it.
"Hello?" I say into the receiver.
"Izzy? It's Roger." Shit. Not now.
"Oh hello. Can I help you?" I ask feeling slightly nervous all of a sudden.
"Yeah, uh, is Dom still with you? I want to talk to her." He mutters on the other side of the line. I could tell he was being shy.
"Yes, She is. But Rog I'm not sure she wants to talk to you right now. You'll chat tonight Alright?" I suggest.
I could tell he was starting to smile on the other end. "Okay. Thanks Izzy. Bye darling." He immediately hangs up afterwards, eliminating my ability to say good bye.
I walk back towards Dom and lay next to her. I turn on the tele and surf through the channels.
"You wanna just hang out til the boys get home?" I ask turning to her still red face.
"Yeah, I suppose." She replies grabbing a handkerchief from her purse and blowing her running nose.Tonight
Mary, V, and the boys have returned from the arena and are beginning to get ready for a days hard work tomorrow. Dom has left to her room with Roger and Brian just getting ready for bed.
"Oh I almost forgot." He randomly says, spitting his minty saliva out. He rushes to a plastic bag with a small box inside.
"I bought you a little dessert from downtown." He hands me a small pick box with a plastic cover. It was a small fruit tart with a bit of cream on it.
"Awww thanks babe!" I hug him and place a passionate kiss on his tender lips. "We can share this tomorrow since it's a bit too late for sugar." I say and place it inside the mini fridge.
"Good idea." He yawns, stretching his arms above his head.
We both lie down in bed and fall asleep almost instantly. Tomorrow was going be a long fucking day.
