Huge time skip!
It had been 3 years since that Sheer Heart Attack tour. Nothing much has happened. I'm now 21 meaning I can actually drink legally now. I had graduated already with a grade 4.0. Brian and I are still going strong. Roger and I lost interest in each other and don't speak of the bar night. I'm not in college because of the band. The band! Right. So Queen is huge right now. Ever since they released a night at the opera and a day at the races, they have been a hit. I had the store clerk show up at my house wearing a queen shirt. He apologized for doubting queens fame. I told you he'd come back. Everyone is still going strong in their relationships. Actually, Mary and Freddie are married now so that happened. I've been on so many tours so far that I no longer share a flat with Brian, but I share a couch on the plane or bus with him. Oh right, Brian and I got a flat in the middle of London. We've been living there for about a year now. We are currently making an album called News of the World. It's going pretty well so far. Deaky cut his hair as well as Roger. Freddie got more cats and Mary is thrilled. I almost got pregnant...twice but they were both false alarms. The year is currently 1977 and getting close to winter. I cut my hair so it's shoulder length and still curly. My mom has found a man and so far I think he's good for her but he'll never be my dad. Not even legally. I don't have a job because one, I'm always busy with the band, and two because Brian's already making tons of cash for us. I've traveled to different parts of Europe, South America and Asia. We went on a Tokyo tour not long ago. We've been to the states so many times that the scenery is beginning to bore me. Is that all? I'm not sure. Oh well back to the present.
Present, September 1977.
"Izzy, what have you and Brian learned from your relationship?" The host asks.
I'm sitting on a talk show with Brian. We are in northern London on television at the moment. I think for a moment of his question. So much has happened it's hard to think of an answer.
"I think it's been a long road for us and the path is still going. I know I've learned to cherish every moment that we have. Ever since my father died, that's all I've aspired to. I'm so grateful to have him in my life and I'm glad that everything is working out so nicely." I answer grasping Brian hand.
"I'm sorry to hear about you father. You two have sure done a lot together. I want to thank you for coming to the show and hope you have a nice night."
"Thank you." We reply in unison as we go off air and the crowd begins to lead out.
I let out a long sigh. I'm so tired. I'm always tired lately. I haven had a day of doing nothing is years. My life is far from normal now.
Brian and I go out to the car and hurry out so the crowd doesn't catch us and ask for autographs. We drove back to our flat where my warm bed was waiting. I was dying to just lay down but then I remember I have a date with Brian tonight and I would only be able to sleep an hour.
I stumble into the large flat and fall face first onto our large bed. Brian laughs at my action as he kicks his shoes off at the front door.
"I'm going to take a nap." I mumble into the pillows as I slowly fall asleep. I hear footsteps lead into our room as the spot next to me dips.
Brian lays next to me and pulls a blacker over me. He lets out a long sigh as we both fall asleep.
I wake up to Brian tickling my sensitive feet which is usually how I wake up. I kick my feet and let out a groan in annoyance.
"Come on love. I'm taking you to the tavern." He whispers before heading to the bathroom.
I let out a long sigh and sit up. I'm glad I cut my hair. It was easier to handle and my curls were no longer a hassle. I drag myself to my walk in closet and grab a pair of heels and a nice white dress.
I look in the mirror and fluff my curls. I apply so evening shadow and some gloss on my lips.
I take one last look and call it good. Brian finally gets out of the loo wearing a black suit and tie. He looked rather handsome.
"You ready?" I asks fluffing his curls.
"I am. You look great love." I complement, capturing his lips in a sweet kiss.
"So do you. Come on, the limo should be here." He says checking his watch.
He grabs a pair of shades to hide his identity, but I think it doesn't hide anything. Everyone would assume your Brian May by the hair and height. But he insists of wearing them everywhere.
We head to limo quickly and drive off to the tavern. It was a really nice one, quite expensive to be honest. It was mainly accompanied by celebrities and people who had money which is why we went.
We make it to the restaurant where a waiter shows us our seats. I take a seat at the candle lit dinner as Brian removes his shades. He sits across from me with a large smile on his face.
"What are you smiling about?" I question just as the waiter brings us champagne. I take a sip of the drink as Brian continues to smile.
"I'm just happy to be here with you." He replies. Something was up. I don't know what but he's never this happy especially about a date. We've been on countless dates. Why is this one different?
I squint my eyes and purse my lips. "No somethings up. What's going on?" I ask taking another drink.
"Let's wait til the food gets here. I preordered it so it should be here soon." He looks down at his watch.
I nod and tap my finger uncontrollably on the table. I was so jittery. I wanted to know what he was up to.
Our food get here. He ordered me a bowl of soup as he gets a salad. I take my spoon and sip from the rim of the silverware.
"This is good. So are you gonna tell me what's up now?" I ask again taking another sip of my soup.
He reaches in his pocket and pulls out two plane tickets. I lean in closer to see where the destination was. It read to Paris Charles de Gaulle airport in France. Oh my god.
My mouth drops at the slips of paper in his hand. He was taking me to Paris! My dream to go to Paris was going to come true. Oh how my father would react. He would love to see me go to Paris with the love of my life.
"Well? Do you want to go?" He asks chuckling.
I furrow my eyebrows and pretend to think about it.
"Hmmmm...um of course! Brian it's my dream to go to Paris!" I exaggerate. He laughs and puts them back in his pocket.
"Well what better way to spend our anniversary then to go to the City of Love." He smiles at my face. I was still in shock. I would be going to Paris.
I lean over the table and place a long kiss on his lips. He kisses me passionately back. I was so excited. I break apart and sit back down.
"When is the departure?" I quickly ask.
"Next week. I've rented a hotel room for us to stay in. The hotel in located outside the Eiffel tower so you could see it from out window. I scheduled a whole 2 days of touring around the city and even have a special dinner planned for the last day." He winks, taking a bite of salad.
I stare at him wide eyed. He did all of this for me? Surely it was a lot of money.
"Wasn't that quite expensive?" I ponder, my voice filled with concern.
He wipes his mouth with his napkin and swallows his bite.
"Yes, but that's the benefit of being a rockstar. You can spend it on whatever or whoever you want." He winks at me again. I loved him so much. I can't believe he would do all of this for me.
"I love you." I say in a low tone.
"I love you more." He replies.
