It'll Be Okay ~ Draco Malfoy imagine

It happened. It finally happened. Your first friendship-ending argument; a friendship of nearly 4 years. 

Ida was your best friend. You told each other everything. But lately, she had been hanging out with a different crowd, completely forgetting about you. Every time you tried to make plans with her, she would ditch you for her other friends. Finally, you confronted her about it, and the argument went a little something like this:

“Ida, why have you been ignoring me?” you asked, twiddling your thumbs,

“What? I haven’t been ignoring you!” she said defensively.

“You have! Whenever I try to talk to you or hang out with you, you always ditch me for Pansy and her lot of friends!”

“(Y/N), you’ve completely lost it-”

“I have not!”

“I don’t have time for this. I’ll see you later,” she hissed, picking up her belongings and turning to leave.

“See? There you go again! Ignoring me, leaving me behind, completely forgetting the existence of your best friend-”

“Who said you were my best friend?!” she spat in your face, staring you straight in the eyes. 

You felt your stomach drop. “Fine… So, that’s how it is then, huh?” you said softly. 

She didn’t answer. 

You grabbed your bag and shoved past her, while also shoving through the crowd of students who had gathered around to see the fight. 

Now, you were running to the Slytherin common room. Your cheeks were red and stained with tears, your eyes were also red from all the crying, and you didn’t care. 

You entered the common room and made your way towards the dorms. Then, out of the corner of your eye, you saw your boyfriend, Draco Malfoy. 

And he saw you. 

But, before he could come up to you, you ran up the stairs and into your room.

“I’ll-uh-see you guys later,” Draco said, quickly following after you. 

“(Y/N)? Babe, what’s going on?” he asked, knocking softly on your door. 

You lifted your head from your tear-stained pillow. Quickly, you got up, wiped away the remaining tears, and opened your door. 

“Hi, love!” you smiled, trying your best not to start crying.

“Hey babe… Is everything all right? I saw you run here and I got worried,” he said, gazing into your eyes. You tried to keep a straight face, but a tear had run down your cheek, then, you had begun to cry again.

You and Draco had been dating for almost two years. He was your boyfriend and your best friend. He was always there when you needed him, and he was never afraid to stand up for you.

“(Y/N)…” he pulled you into a tight hug, allowing you to cry on his shoulder. He led you over to your bed and sat you down, squatting in front of you. 

“What’s going on, (Y/N)?” Draco repeated, moving stray hairs away from your face. 

You told him everything. You told him how Ida and you had gotten into a fight and how you had basically ended your friendship with her. 

“I couldn’t handle it anymore, Draco! I don’t deserve to be ignored or treated like I don’t matter, and that’s exactly what she was doing!” you sobbed, hiding your face in your hands. He took a seat next to you and pulled you onto his lap, rubbing small circles into your back.

“I’m so sorry, (Y/N). You’re right, you don’t deserve any of that. You deserve only the best,” he paused. He lifted your chin up so that you were facing him. 

“God, you’re so gorgeous…” he breathed, wiping a tear with his thumb. You let out a giggle. “There’s that smile I love.” 

“You made me lose my point,” he smirked. “Oh, right. (Y/N), listen to me. You deserve nothing but happiness. You bring so much light and love into my life and everyone else’s. No one should ever try to put you down, and if someone does, tell me and I’ll hit them,” he rested his forehead against yours while you let out another laugh. “It’ll be okay, (Y/N).”

“I love you so much, Draco,” you murmured, gazing into his eyes. He softly pressed his lips to yours. You placed a hand on his cheek, pulling him closer to you. When you broke away, he placed a kiss on your forehead.

“I love you more,” he said sweetly, peppering your face with kisses, causing you to go into a fit of giggles.
