Weird ~ young Remus Lupin

It was a quiet Sunday at Hogwarts. Some students were finishing up all their homework while others slept in.

You were sitting in the courtyard with your closest friends James, Sirius, and Peter, talking about the upcoming quidditch match.

"Ravenclaw won't know what hit 'em! And they know everything!" James said proudly.

"How long did it take for you to think of that one, James?" You teased, looking up from your journal.

James scoffed and placed a hand over his heart, faking to be hurt.

"Well, I never," he said dramatically, causing you, Peter, and Sirius to laugh.

You turned back to your journal, still giggling a bit.

"Why are you so wrapped up in that journal, (Y/N)?" Sirius asked, yanking the book out from your lap. He began to flip through the pages.

"Stop! Don't read that! I'm serious!" You shouted, attempting to grab your journal back.

"No, that's my name. Besides, we know everything about you! What could we possibly not know that you wanna hide?" Sirius continued to go through the pages with James and Peter both looking over his shoulders.

Suddenly, all of their eyes became wide.

"Well... We didn't know that," Peter said, looking over at James and Sirius.

"Aww! (Y/N)'s got a crush on Moony!" James said loudly.

"Announce it to the whole school, why don't you! Keep it down!" You whisper-shouted.

"Oh, don't be so shy, (Y/N)! I think the two of you would make a cutepair," Sirius added, handing you your journal back.

You glared at them and shoved the journal in your bag.

When you looked up, you saw Remus staring at the four of you, his face completely red.

Your face began to turn red as well.

"Remus... You didn't happen to hear any of that, did you?" Peter asked sheepishly.

"Well... Uh... Only a little bit..." Remus answered, looking over at you. But before anyone could say another word to you, you grabbed your bag and ran off.

You sat against a tree that looked over the Black Lake, looking up at the clouds and trying to forget everything that just happened.

"(Y/N)?" You heard a voice say. You stood up and turned around and saw Remus. You let out a sigh and turned to face the lake.

Remus walked over and stood next to you. You could feel your heart pounding out of your chest.

An awkward silence lingered between the two of you, making things even worse.

"I'm sorry I made things weird for you, Remus..." You glanced over at him for a split second.

He was silent for a moment. Suddenly, you felt his hand brush against yours and he intertwined your fingers with his.

"This isn't weird. I like this... I like you..." He said slowly, rubbing his thumb against the back of your hand.

You looked over at him and smiled.

"So, now what?" You asked, looking back at the lake.

"How about I kiss you and ask you to be mine?" Remus smirked, gazing over at you.

Your cheeks turned pink. "S-sounds good," you giggled.

Remus held your face in his hands and pressed his lips against yours. Smiles began creeping their way on both of your faces.

When you pulled away, he pulled you towards his chest and held you tightly.

"You're forgetting something," you teased, looking up at him.

"What? Oh, r-right!" He stuttered, causing a small laugh to rise out of you.

He pulled away from the hug and began searching the ground. He plucked a small flower from the ground and went to face you again.

"(Y/N), I like you a lot, and I would love to call you mine. What do you say?" Remus asked, holding the flower out to you.

You smiled and took the flower.

"Nothing would make me happier," you said sweetly.
