Cedric! Cedric!"

When you heard your boyfriend's name being shouted by an unknown female voice in the middle of the corridor, you turned your head to look at the scene.

"Hi." your boyfriend answered the girl. You were a few steps away, as you were heading to your next class. You weren't sure if Cedric knew you were there, since the corridor was filled with students.

"I just wanted to tell you that everyone is really proud of you and that you're the true Hogwarts champion." she said with a excessively sweet voice, making you want to throw up "And I know you'll win!"

"Oh, thanks."

"Bye!" she quickly kissed him on the cheek and left. You couldn't not roll your eyes.

You started walking again towards your classroom feeling annoyed. Scenes like that were becoming usual, even though everyone knew Cedric had a girlfriend, or you thought so.

When your Transfiguration class finished, you walked out of the classroom fully concentrated on the essay Professor McGonagall had assigned, so you didn't see your boyfriend coming.

"Hey, babe."

"Oh, hey." you answered surprised by his sudden presence.

"Today is the day we both have the third period free." he reminded you "Wanna go for a walk?"

"I'm sorry, Ced. I was actually going to use this time to work on my assignments." you looked sadly at him, but soon realized "Do you want to come to the library with me instead?"

"That'd be great." he smiled and you two headed to the library talking about everything and nothing at the same time.

Studying with Cedric was always good, but lately he had been receiving extra attention from pretty much everybody in school, which meant you rarely had some alone time with him, including in the library. You lost the count on how many times someone disturbed your work to talk to him about the tournament or even about the Yule Ball.

When the library seemed to be quiet again, you thought you could finally focus on your homework, but you were wrong.

"Hi, Cedric." you heard another female voice "How are you?"

"Good, thanks." he gave the girl a polite smile.

"I just wanted to know if you already have a date for the Yule Ball."

You quivered and Cedric squeezed your thigh under the table.

"Yes, I do." he answered politely.

"Oh, really? Who?" the girl asked visibly disappointed.

"My girlfriend." he pointed to you and you gave to her the best smile you could, even with the anger filling up your body.

"That is your girlfriend?"

"I know it's hard to believe. Sometimes I don't believe it myself. She's so gorgeous, right?" Cedric said with some sort of excitement, misinterpreting the girl's shock and making your generic smile turn to a beyond happy smile.

The girl stared at the two of you with a weird look and left.

"Did I say something wrong?" he asked you truly concerned.

"You're amazing." you giggled amused and kissed his neck.
